Stainless steel elbows and connectors for Ø42.4 mm round and 40×40 mm flat handrail and railing tubes. 15 products — fixed 90°, adjustable, tee, cross and inline fittings, flush or welding — in AISI 304 satin. Filter by tube profile, angle type and joint configuration.
Elbows and connectors are stainless-steel joint fittings that link two sections of handrail or railing tube at a change of direction, creating a continuous, seamless-looking rail line around corners, up staircases and across straight joints.
Flush elbows and angles slip over the tube ends and produce a smooth, weld-free joint on the visible surface; welding variants are permanently fused for a rigid connection.
Strofix supplies 15 elbow and connector products for Ø42.4 mm round pipe and 40×40 mm flat square tube, including fixed 90° flush angles, adjustable flush elbows (with one variant covering 0–70°), cross flush angles, tee ("T") connectors, tee corner connectors, inline fittings and welding flush angles — all in AISI 304 stainless steel with a satin finish, with AISI 316 and polished options on selected variants.
The correct fitting depends on tube profile, the angle of the direction change, the number of tube arms meeting at the joint and whether a screwable or welded connection is required.
Most elbows and connectors in this category are designed for Ø42.4 mm round pipe — the standard handrail and railing tube across the Strofix range.
Three variants (flush elbow 90°, adjustable flush elbow and an inline fitting) are available for 40×40 mm flat square tube.
The fitting socket must match the tube profile exactly.
Fixed 90° flush angles produce a precise right-angle turn for level-to-level corner joints.
Adjustable flush elbows allow the angle to be set on site, accommodating stair pitches and non-standard gradients — one variant covers a 0–70° range for shallow-angle transitions.
Choose adjustable elbows wherever the exact angle is not known at the time of ordering or where the rail follows a stair incline.
Corner elbows and angles join two tubes at a direction change.
Inline fittings connect two straight tube sections end-to-end without changing direction.
Tee ("T") fittings join three tubes at a single point — one tube runs through and a third branches off at 90°.
Tee corner fittings join three tubes where a corner meets a branch.
Cross flush angles join four tube ends at a single intersection.
Identify the number of tubes meeting at each joint before selecting.
Flush fittings slide over the tube ends and are secured with a concealed set screw, producing a smooth outer surface with no visible joint line.
Welding fittings are permanently fused to the tubes for a rigid, seamless connection.
Flush fittings are easier to assemble and allow disassembly; welding fittings are chosen where maximum joint rigidity or a fully seamless appearance is needed.
Satin is the standard finish across 15 products, with polished variants on two products for a brighter appearance.
AISI 304 is the standard grade; AISI 316 is available on one variant for coastal and high-humidity environments.
