Stainless steel end caps for Ø10 and Ø12 mm crossbar rods. Cap height from 15 to 30 mm, satin or polished, in AISI 304 or AISI 316. Closes the rod end and conceals the fixing point at the same time. Filter by rod diameter, height and finish.
An end cap for rod is a small cylindrical sleeve that slides onto the end of a Ø10 or Ø12 mm crossbar rod and closes it.
In crossbar balustrades the rod end usually enters a holder on the post, and the cap conceals that joint while removing the sharp cut edge.
Strofix supplies caps for both standard rod diameters – Ø10 mm and Ø12 mm – in heights of 15, 20, 25 and 30 mm.
Taller versions stand out more and cover a longer part of the joint; lower ones stay almost invisible.
The choice depends on rod diameter, the cap height wanted, the finish and the environment the balustrade will stand in.
The internal diameter of the cap is matched to the rod, so this is the first thing to establish.
Ø12 mm is the more common crossbar size in the Strofix range; Ø10 mm is used for lighter, finer structures.
The height sets how much of the rod end and holder is concealed.
15 and 20 mm are the low, discreet versions. 25 and 30 mm stand out more and are useful where a longer rod end or an untidy cut has to be covered.
Satin is matt and matches standard crossbar hardware.
Polished is a mirror finish and suits assemblies where the posts and handrail are polished too. Polished caps are available for both diameters.
AISI 304 suits interiors and normal outdoor exposure.
AISI 316 resists chlorides better and is the right choice on the coast, around pools and where salt is used in winter. In this range it is available for the Ø12 mm cap in 15 mm height.
