About handrail support rods for walls
This rod connects a handrail support plate to a wall fixing, and its angle is fixed at 90° – intended for a horizontal handrail on a vertical wall.
Sizes are Ø12 and Ø14 mm, satin finish, AISI 304.
1. What it needs alongside
The rod is not a complete assembly. It needs a support plate matched to the handrail shape – flat for a flat handrail, concave for Ø42.4 mm tube – and a wall fixing.
2. When it is the wrong part
A fixed 90° rod does not suit stairs. Where the handrail runs at a pitch you need an adjustable assembly – available in the post rod series and among the adjustable support plates.
3. The alternative – a complete wall support
If you would rather not build the assembly from three parts, look at the handrail wall supports: complete brackets with a 60 or 70 mm offset from the wall.
