Stainless steel holders with a concave base that carry a Ø12 mm crossbar rod on a Ø42.4 mm round railing post. Through, left and right end, front, two-rod connecting and adjustable versions. Filter by holder type, grade and finish.
A crossbar holder for tube has a concave base profiled for a Ø42.4 mm round railing post, sitting flush against its circumference.
The concave base means the holder cannot twist on the tube, and the load spreads over the whole contact area rather than through two points.
The Strofix range has six types: through, left and right end holder, front, two-rod connecting and adjustable front.
All take a Ø12 mm rod, and most are AISI 304; the through holder is also available in AISI 316.
The choice depends on where the holder sits in the run, whether angle adjustment is needed, and the steel grade.
The through holder lets the rod pass through at an intermediate post; the left and right end holders close the rod end at the end of a run.
The front holder carries the rod on the face of the post. The two-rod connecting holder joins two rods at one point.
The concave base is profiled for one diameter. On Ø33.7 mm or Ø48.3 mm tube it will not seat over the full contact area.
A 40x40 mm square post has its own holder series with a flat base.
Fixed holders carry the rod horizontally. The adjustable front holder lets the angle change and is intended for stair balustrades.
On a stair flight you normally need adjustable holders at every post in the run, not only at the ends.
AISI 304 suits interiors and normal outdoor exposure, and covers most of the range.
AISI 316 resists chlorides better and suits coastal sites and pool surrounds. In this range it is available for the through holder.
Satin is matt and unobtrusive.
The polished through holder suits assemblies where the posts and handrail are polished too.
