Fixed-angle elbows for Ø42.4 mm railing tube: weld-on, flush, round and rounded, at 90° and 135°. No moving parts, so stiffer and visually cleaner than the adjustable versions. Filter by angle, shape and finish.
A fixed elbow joins two Ø42.4 mm tube sections at a defined angle – 90° or 135°. It has no moving parts, so it does not work loose over time.
It is also the cleaner choice visually: the transition is even, with no visible adjustment point.
The Strofix range covers weld-on elbows, and flush, round and rounded versions, in satin, polished and raw.
AISI 316 is available for some versions – for coastal sites and pool surrounds.
The choice depends on angle, shape, mounting method and whether the elbow sits at hand height.
90° suits rectangular terraces and balconies.
135° is for chamfered corners and polygonal plans. Two 135° elbows together give the same turn as one 90°, but with a chamfered corner – a common terrace solution.
The flush elbow makes a sharp transition and is the least noticeable.
Round and rounded elbows make a flowing transition. If the elbow is on a handrail at hand height, choose the rounded one – a sharp transition is felt every time.
The weld-on elbow is welded between the tube ends and becomes almost invisible once the seam is dressed. It is also supplied raw, since the finish has to be restored anyway.
Push-fit versions connect without welding – faster on site.
On stairs and irregular plans. There the real angle differs from the nominal one, and a fixed elbow would force the tube together under stress.
Forced assembly leaves permanent stress in welds and fixings. In that case choose the adjustable version.
