About round handrail elements

These are the elements for the Ø42.4 mm round slot handrail – the same profile that seats on the top edge of a glass panel.

The square 40x40 mm handrail has its own separate element series. Round and square elements are not interchangeable, because the contact profile differs.

The range covers an end cap, a straight 180° connector, an axial wall fastening, a 90° elbow, a vertical 90° elbow and adjustable elbows in upper and bottom versions.

All are satin; some are also available in AISI 316 for coastal sites and pool surrounds.

The choice starts from how the line actually runs – where it ends, where it turns in plan, where in elevation, and where it meets a wall.

How to build a round handrail set

1. End caps and connectors

The end cap closes the handrail end and removes a sharp edge at hand height. You need one for every free end.

The straight 180° connector joins two handrails in line without a step. You need one wherever a run exceeds a single handrail length.

2. Turns in plan and in elevation

The 90° elbow turns the handrail in plan – at a terrace corner or a balcony return.

The vertical 90° elbow turns it in elevation, where the line rises or drops. These are two different parts, and most projects need both.

3. Stairs: upper and bottom

The adjustable elbow comes in two versions – upper and bottom. A stair flight normally needs both: one at the top, one at the bottom.

If you order only one, the installation will stop on site – they are not interchangeable.

4. Wall connection

The axial handrail fastening fixes the handrail end to a wall end-on. No end cap is needed there – the fastening closes the end itself.

5. Do not forget the gasket

The handrail cannot be seated on glass without a gasket. It is a separate product and is chosen by glass thickness, not by handrail.

Calculate the length from the handrail, not the glass – the gasket runs the full length of the slot.
