The support plate that sits against the handrail and connects it to a wall support rod. Flat for flat handrails and concave for Ø42.4 mm tube, plus corner 90° and adjustable versions. The same plate also suits post supports. Filter by handrail shape and adjustability.
A wall support assembly has three parts: the wall fixing, the rod and the support plate. The plate is the part that touches the handrail.
It is the same plate used by post supports – the part does not differ, only what is at the other end: a wall rather than a post. That is why it appears in both sections of the shop.
The Strofix range has six plates: flat and Ø42.4 mm, corner 90° in both shapes, and adjustable in both shapes.
All are satin, in AISI 304.
The choice depends on handrail shape, whether the handrail turns at that point, and whether the angle has to be adjusted.
The flat plate sits against a flat handrail profile; the Ø42.4 mm plate is concave and sits against round tube.
Choose by the handrail, not by the wall – the wall does not affect this part.
The standard plate is for a straight run; the corner 90° plate is for where the handrail turns around a wall corner.
A corridor with one turn typically needs one corner plate and standard plates elsewhere.
The fixed plate holds the handrail at 90° to the rod – right for a horizontal handrail.
A stair handrail on a wall needs the adjustable plate, because the handrail runs at a pitch while the wall fixings stay horizontal.
Besides the plate you need a rod and a wall fixing. Wall rods in this system are fixed at 90°.
For fewer parts, look at the complete handrail wall supports with a 60 or 70 mm offset – there the whole assembly is one component.
