About Mini Glass Adaptors

A mini glass adaptor is a small-diameter stainless-steel point fixing designed for lightweight panels such as signage, nameplates, information boards and thin decorative glass.

The compact cover diameter — from Ø12 to Ø25 mm — keeps the hardware visually discreet while still providing a secure standoff connection between the panel and the mounting surface.

Strofix supplies mini adaptors in four sizes: three sign adaptors (D12, D16 and D19) for non-glass sign panels, and one glass adaptor (D25) for thin glass panels, in AISI 201 or AISI 304 stainless steel with a satin finish and fixed spacer heights of approximately 19–21.5 mm.

The correct mini adaptor depends on panel type (signage or glass), cover diameter preference and the required steel grade.

How to choose a mini glass adaptor

1. Panel type: signage or glass

The D12, D16 and D19 are sign adaptors designed for non-glass sign panels — acrylic, composite, aluminium sheet and similar flat materials.

The D25 is a glass adaptor designed for thin glass panels.

Choose based on the panel material, as each adaptor type is engineered for the stiffness and weight characteristics of its intended material.

2. Cover diameter (D12 / D16 / D19 / D25)

Cover diameter determines the visible footprint on the panel.

D12 is the smallest and most discreet option, suited to small nameplates and lightweight signs.

D16 and D19 provide a slightly larger contact area for medium-sized sign panels.

D25 is the largest in the mini range and is the only variant rated for glass.

Choose based on panel size, weight and the desired visual proportion between the fixing and the panel.

3. Steel grade: AISI 201 or AISI 304

The D12 sign adaptor is available in AISI 201, a budget-friendly grade suitable for dry interior environments.

The D16, D19 and D25 are supplied in AISI 304, which offers higher corrosion resistance and is suitable for both interior and typical exterior installations.

For coastal or high-humidity environments, consider a larger adaptor from the main glass adaptors range in AISI 316.
