About Painted Glass Adaptors

A painted glass adaptor is a colour-coated stainless-steel point fixing that attaches a glass panel to a supporting structure while matching a specific architectural colour scheme.

The paint layer is applied over stainless steel, retaining the base metal's corrosion resistance while replacing the standard metallic appearance with a decorative finish.

Strofix supplies painted glass adaptors in two diameters — D30 and D50 — with spacer heights of 10, 15 and 32 mm.

Available colours include matte black, anthracite, white, gold polished, gold satin, copper polished and dark chrome polished; the D50 range also includes a variant with an inner thread.

The right variant depends on the required colour, adaptor diameter, spacer height and whether an inner-thread connection is needed.

How to choose a painted glass adaptor

1. Colour

Strofix offers eight colour options: matte black, anthracite, black, white, gold polished, gold satin, copper polished and dark chrome polished.

Match the adaptor colour to window frames, joinery, railings or the broader interior/exterior palette.

Polished metallic finishes (gold, copper, dark chrome) have a reflective sheen; matte and anthracite finishes are non-reflective.

2. Adaptor diameter (D30 / D50)

D30 has a smaller footprint and suits lighter panels, residential partitions and decorative glazing.

D50 provides a wider contact area for larger or heavier glass panels.

The D50 range includes both a standard body and a variant with an inner thread for bolt-through fixing.

3. Spacer height (10 / 15 / 32 mm)

The spacer sets how far the glass sits from the mounting surface.

Choose 10 mm for near-flush installations, 15 mm for a minimal standoff, and 32 mm where wall finishes or insulation add thickness.

Spacer height is fixed per variant and cannot be adjusted after installation.

4. Inner thread (D50 only)

The D50 variant with an inner thread accepts an M-thread bolt, allowing a through-glass fixing with a bolt and decorative cover cap on the opposite side.

Choose this configuration where back-access is limited or where the fixing must be removable.

The standard D50 and D30 variants do not include an inner thread.
