About Glass Adaptor Sets

A glass adaptor set is a pre-matched assembly of two glass adaptors connected by a shared fixing bolt, designed for installations where two panels — or a panel and a wall — meet at a specific angle.

Instead of selecting individual adaptors, distancers and bolts separately, the set provides all components for one fixing point in a single product.

Strofix supplies glass adaptor sets in three configurations: double-sided inline sets that connect two glass panels back-to-back through a shared bolt, 90° glass-to-glass sets that join two panels at a right-angle corner, and 90° glass-to-wall sets that fix a glass panel perpendicular to a wall surface.

Sets are available in D30 and D50 diameters, in AISI 304 stainless steel with a satin finish, and with spacer thicknesses of 10, 12 and 15 mm.

The correct set depends on the joint configuration, adaptor diameter and the required spacer thickness.

How to choose a glass adaptor set

1. Joint configuration: double inline, 90° glass/glass or 90° glass/wall

This is the first and most decisive choice. Double inline sets connect two glass panels in the same plane — use them for partitions, shower enclosures and glass-to-glass butt joints.

The 90° glass/glass set joins two panels at a right-angle corner, such as at a partition return or a corner balustrade.

The 90° glass/wall set fixes a glass panel perpendicular to a solid wall, for example where a partition meets a masonry or concrete wall.

2. Adaptor diameter (D30 / D50)

D30 sets have a smaller footprint and are suited to lighter panels, residential partitions and decorative glazing.

D50 sets provide a wider contact area for heavier or larger glass panels in commercial applications.

Double inline sets are available in both D30 and D50; the 90° angle sets are currently available in D30 only.

3. Spacer thickness (10 / 12 / 15 mm)

Spacer thickness sets the gap between the two glass panels (in double inline sets) or the standoff distance from the wall (in 90° glass/wall sets).

Choose 10 mm for a tight gap, 12 mm for a standard joint width, and 15 mm where a wider gap or greater offset is needed.

The spacer thickness is fixed per variant and cannot be adjusted after installation.
