Chemical anchor-mass and anaerobic glue for architectural hardware installations. Standard and winter-grade resin anchoring (Essve, 300 mL) for substrate fixings, plus stainless-steel bonding glue (50 mL) for locking threaded connections. Choose by task and installation conditions.
About Chemistry & Adhesives
Chemistry and adhesive products are the chemical bonding and anchoring agents used alongside mechanical fastenings in architectural hardware installations. Chemical anchor-mass bonds a threaded rod or stud into a drilled hole through a curing resin, providing high pull-out resistance in substrates where mechanical expansion anchors are insufficient — such as hollow masonry, aerated concrete and close-to-edge fixings. Anaerobic glue permanently locks stainless-steel threaded connections and bonds close-fitting metal parts by curing in the absence of air. Strofix supplies three products in this category: a 50 mL anaerobic glue formulated for stainless-steel bonding, a 300 mL standard chemical anchor-mass (Essve), and a 300 mL winter-grade chemical anchor-mass (Essve) for installations at low ambient temperatures. The correct product depends on whether the task is substrate anchoring or metal-to-metal bonding, and whether installation takes place in standard or cold-weather conditions.
How to choose a chemistry or adhesive product
1. Task: substrate anchoring or metal-to-metal bonding
This is the first decision. If you are fixing a threaded rod, stud or anchor into a drilled hole in concrete, masonry or another mineral substrate, choose a chemical anchor-mass. If you are locking a threaded connection between two stainless-steel components — for example, securing a cover cap, locking a set screw or bonding a handrail connector — choose anaerobic glue.
2. Installation temperature: standard or winter
The standard chemical anchor-mass (Essve, 300 mL) cures at normal ambient temperatures. The winter-grade chemical anchor-mass (Essve, 300 mL) is formulated to cure reliably at low temperatures, typically down to −5 °C or below depending on the manufacturer's specification. Choose the winter variant when the installation takes place in cold weather or in unheated spaces during the colder months.
3. Volume
Chemical anchor-mass is supplied in 300 mL cartridges, which is sufficient for multiple anchor points in a typical installation. Anaerobic glue is supplied in a 50 mL bottle — a small quantity goes a long way, as only a thin film between close-fitting surfaces is needed for a full-strength bond.
