Additional information Volume: 300ml

The TRUTEK TCM 300A is a 300 mL cold weather chemical anchor mass for bonding threaded rods and anchor bolts into concrete, masonry, and stone substrates at surface temperatures down to -20 °C. The cartridge is supplied with two mixing tubes for consistent resin-hardener blending during application.

The cold weather capability is the defining feature of this product — it allows chemical anchoring to proceed in winter conditions when standard chemical anchors cannot be used. Surface temperatures at and below freezing prevent standard resins from curing properly, resulting in unreliable bonds. The TRUTEK TCM 300A is formulated to cure at temperatures as low as -20 °C, enabling year-round installation of railing posts, glass canopy brackets, and other structural components. The application method is the same as standard chemical anchors: inject into a pre-drilled, cleaned hole, insert the threaded rod, and allow the resin to cure. The 300 mL cartridge capacity serves multiple anchor points.

This is the most cold-weather-capable chemical anchor in the Strofix range.

Use cases:

  • Winter installation of railing post base plates when surface temperature is below 0 °C
  • Cold weather anchoring down to -20 °C surface temperature
  • Year-round construction projects that cannot wait for warm weather
  • Glass canopy bracket fixing in winter conditions
  • Any chemical anchoring application on frozen or near-frozen concrete and masonry surfaces

FAQ:

What is the minimum application temperature?

The TRUTEK TCM 300A can be used at surface temperatures down to -20 °C. This is the lowest application temperature among the chemical anchors in the Strofix range.

What volume is the cartridge?

The cartridge contains 300 mL of chemical anchor resin. Two mixing tubes are included.

How does this compare to the other cold weather anchor (Essve ONE-ICE)?

Both the TRUTEK TCM 300A and the Essve ONE-ICE are winter-rated chemical anchors. The TRUTEK specifies a -20 °C minimum surface temperature. Compare the technical data sheets for both products to determine which meets the specific project certification and performance requirements.

How does this compare to the standard-temperature anchors?

The standard-temperature anchors (Essve ONE and CONEXFIX CFM300PESF) are for use at positive surface temperatures only. This TRUTEK product extends the usable range to -20 °C. Use the standard-temperature anchors in warm weather; use this product in winter or sub-zero conditions.

What substrates can this be used on?

The chemical anchor is suitable for concrete, masonry (brick, block), and stone substrates.

How is the anchor installed?

Inject the resin into a pre-drilled, cleaned hole using a standard caulking gun with the supplied mixing tube. Insert the threaded rod or anchor bolt into the filled hole and allow the resin to cure. Follow the manufacturer's curing time guidelines for the specific substrate temperature.

About Chemistry & Adhesives

Chemistry and adhesive products are the chemical bonding and anchoring agents used alongside mechanical fastenings in architectural hardware installations.

Chemical anchor-mass bonds a threaded rod or stud into a drilled hole through a curing resin, providing high pull-out resistance in substrates where mechanical expansion anchors are insufficient — such as hollow masonry, aerated concrete and close-to-edge fixings. Anaerobic glue permanently locks stainless-steel threaded connections and bonds close-fitting metal parts by curing in the absence of air.

Strofix supplies three products in this category: a 50 mL anaerobic glue formulated for stainless-steel bonding, a 300 mL standard chemical anchor-mass (Essve), and a 300 mL winter-grade chemical anchor-mass (Essve) for installations at low ambient temperatures. The correct product depends on whether the task is substrate anchoring or metal-to-metal bonding, and whether installation takes place in standard or cold-weather conditions.
