The Strofix rubber inlay for glass clamp 45×45 mm is an EPDM rubber gasket designed to fit inside the 45 × 45 mm glass clamp body, gripping the glass panel securely between two gaskets. Available for glass thicknesses from 1.5 to 10.76 mm — including 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10 mm single glass and 8.76, 10.76 mm laminated glass. Select the glass thickness at order time. Sold individually — two inlays are required per clamp (one on each side of the glass).
The EPDM rubber provides consistent clamping pressure on the glass surface, cushioning the glass against the metal clamp body and preventing direct metal-to-glass contact. EPDM is resistant to weathering, UV exposure, ozone, and temperature extremes. The 45 × 45 mm inlay fits all 45 × 45 mm glass clamps in the Strofix range — flat-mount and tube-mount versions, with or without support, in both satin and polished finishes. The thin gasket options (1.5, 2, 3 mm) serve as spacers or shims for fine-tuning the fit of non-standard glass thicknesses within the clamp, or for clamping thin sheet materials such as polycarbonate panels.
Nine options: 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 8.76, and 10.76 mm. The 1.5–3 mm options are thin gaskets for spacing or shim applications. The 4–10 mm options match single tempered glass. The 8.76 and 10.76 mm options match laminated safety glass.
Two inlays per clamp — one on each side of the glass panel.
EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) rubber, resistant to weathering, UV, ozone, and temperature extremes.
This inlay fits all 45 × 45 mm glass clamps in the Strofix range: flat-mount, tube-mount Ø42.4, with or without support, satin and polished versions.
These thin gaskets are used as spacers for fine-tuning the clamping fit on non-standard glass thicknesses, or for clamping thin sheet materials such as polycarbonate panels that are thinner than standard architectural glass.
A rubber inlay for a glass clamp is a replaceable insert that sits between the metal clamp body and the glass panel, cushioning the clamping pressure, preventing direct steel-to-glass contact and compensating for the specific panel thickness.
Each rubber pair is shaped to match a particular Strofix clamp model, ensuring a snug fit inside the clamp channel. Strofix supplies rubber inlays for all of our clamp models — with thickness options covering single-pane glass at 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 mm and laminated glass at 12.76 mm (66.2) and 16.76 mm (88.2).
Rubbers are sold individually so that an existing clamp can be reconfigured for a different glass thickness or worn inserts can be replaced without changing the clamp body itself.
Strofix designs and supplies stainless-steel fastening systems for architectural glass, including glass adaptors, railing components, handrails, and structural fixings. We also serve architects, installers, and building contractors on residential and commercial projects.
