Material EPDM

The Strofix rubber inlay for glass clamp 45×63 mm is an EPDM rubber gasket designed to fit inside the 45 × 63 mm glass clamp body, gripping the glass panel securely between two gaskets. Available for glass thicknesses of 6, 8, 10, 12, 8.76, 10.76, or 12.76 mm (66.2). Select the glass thickness at order time. Sold individually — two inlays are required per clamp (one on each side of the glass).

The 45 × 63 mm gasket matches the extended glass range of the 45 × 63 glass clamps, which accommodate thicker glass panels (up to 12.76 mm) than the standard 45 × 45 clamps. The 12.76 mm option corresponds to laminated glass designation 66.2 (6+6+0.76 PVB interlayer). This inlay fits all 45 × 63 mm glass clamps in the Strofix range — flat-mount and tube-mount Ø42.4 versions, in satin and polished finishes, with or without support. EPDM rubber provides consistent clamping pressure and is resistant to weathering, UV exposure, ozone, and temperature extremes.

Use cases:

  • Replacement EPDM gasket for 45 × 63 mm glass clamps (flat-mount and tube-mount Ø42.4)
  • Changing glass thickness on an existing 45 × 63 clamp by swapping to the correct gasket
  • Spare gaskets for clamps ordered in the "without rubbers" option
  • Maintaining glass balustrade installations with 45 × 63 wide-body clamps

FAQ

What glass thicknesses are available?

Seven options: 6, 8, 10, 12 mm single tempered glass and 8.76, 10.76, 12.76 mm laminated safety glass. The 12.76 mm option corresponds to laminated designation 66.2.

Which glass clamps does this fit?

This inlay fits all 45 × 63 mm glass clamps in the Strofix range: flat-mount (satin and polished), tube-mount Ø42.4 (satin, polished, and with-support B version).

How many inlays do I need per clamp?

Two inlays per clamp — one on each side of the glass panel.

What material is the inlay?

EPDM rubber, resistant to weathering, UV, ozone, and temperature extremes.

Can I use this in the 45×45 or 52×52 clamp?

No. Each clamp size requires its own gasket. The 45 × 63 inlay fits 45 × 63 clamps only.

About Rubbers for Glass Clamps

A rubber inlay for a glass clamp is a replaceable insert that sits between the metal clamp body and the glass panel, cushioning the clamping pressure, preventing direct steel-to-glass contact and compensating for the specific panel thickness.

Each rubber pair is shaped to match a particular Strofix clamp model, ensuring a snug fit inside the clamp channel. Strofix supplies rubber inlays for all of our clamp models — with thickness options covering single-pane glass at 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 mm and laminated glass at 12.76 mm (66.2) and 16.76 mm (88.2).

Rubbers are sold individually so that an existing clamp can be reconfigured for a different glass thickness or worn inserts can be replaced without changing the clamp body itself.
