The Strofix rubber inlay for front glass clamp 50×60/60×60 mm is an EPDM rubber gasket designed to fit inside front-fixing glass clamps in two sizes: 50 × 60 mm and 60 × 60 mm. Available for glass thicknesses of 6, 8, 10, 12, 8.76, 10.76, or 12.76 mm (66.2). Select the glass thickness at order time. Sold individually — two inlays are required per clamp (one on each side of the glass).

This is a universal gasket that fits both the 50 × 60 mm and 60 × 60 mm front-fixing glass clamp bodies. The front-fixing clamp is a different mounting style from the standard side-clamping glass clamps — it mounts from the front face of the glass panel with a rectangular profile. The glass range covers 6–12.76 mm, including single tempered glass (6, 8, 10, 12 mm) and laminated safety glass (8.76, 10.76, 12.76 mm / 66.2). EPDM rubber provides consistent clamping pressure and is resistant to weathering, UV exposure, ozone, and temperature extremes.

Use cases:

  • Replacement EPDM gasket for 50 × 60 or 60 × 60 mm front-fixing glass clamps
  • Universal gasket fitting two front clamp sizes with a single product
  • Changing glass thickness on an existing front glass clamp by swapping to the correct gasket
  • Spare gaskets for front-fixing clamp installations with 6–12.76 mm glass
  • Maintaining front-fixing glass balustrade and partition installations

FAQ

What glass thicknesses are available?

Seven options: 6, 8, 10, 12 mm single tempered glass and 8.76, 10.76, 12.76 mm laminated safety glass. The 12.76 mm option corresponds to laminated designation 66.2.

Which glass clamps does this fit?

This is a universal gasket that fits both the 50 × 60 mm and the 60 × 60 mm front-fixing glass clamp bodies.

How does this differ from the Ø60 front clamp gasket?

The Ø60 gasket (SKU STG60) fits the round Ø60 mm front-fixing clamp with a narrower glass range (8–12.76 mm). This gasket (SKU STG6060) fits the rectangular 50 × 60 and 60 × 60 mm front-fixing clamps with a wider glass range starting at 6 mm. They are not interchangeable.

How many inlays do I need per clamp?

Two inlays per clamp — one on each side of the glass panel.

What material is the inlay?

EPDM rubber, resistant to weathering, UV, ozone, and temperature extremes.

About Rubbers for Glass Clamps

A rubber inlay for a glass clamp is a replaceable insert that sits between the metal clamp body and the glass panel, cushioning the clamping pressure, preventing direct steel-to-glass contact and compensating for the specific panel thickness.

Each rubber pair is shaped to match a particular Strofix clamp model, ensuring a snug fit inside the clamp channel. Strofix supplies rubber inlays for all of our clamp models — with thickness options covering single-pane glass at 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 mm and laminated glass at 12.76 mm (66.2) and 16.76 mm (88.2).

Rubbers are sold individually so that an existing clamp can be reconfigured for a different glass thickness or worn inserts can be replaced without changing the clamp body itself.
