Material EPDM

The Strofix rubber inlay for glass clamp 45×45 mm with support is an EPDM rubber gasket designed specifically for the 45 × 45 mm glass clamp body in the "with support" (B) configuration. This gasket fits the clamp variants that include a security plate and safety pin. Available for glass thicknesses of 6, 8, 10, 8.76, or 10.76 mm. Select the glass thickness at order time. Sold individually — two inlays are required per clamp (one on each side of the glass).

This gasket has a different profile from the standard 45 × 45 mm inlay (SKU STG4545) because the clamp body with support has a different internal geometry to accommodate the security plate slot. The two gasket types are not interchangeable — the with-support gasket must be used with with-support clamps, and the standard gasket must be used with without-support clamps. The glass thickness range starts at 6 mm (no 4 mm or thin spacer options). EPDM is resistant to weathering, UV exposure, ozone, and temperature extremes.

Use cases:

  • Replacement EPDM gasket for 45 × 45 mm glass clamps with support (B versions)
  • Changing glass thickness on an existing with-support clamp by swapping gaskets
  • Spare gaskets for with-support clamps ordered in the "without rubbers" option
  • Maintaining with-support glass clamp installations by periodically replacing inlays

FAQ

How does this differ from the standard 45×45 inlay (STG4545)?

This gasket is shaped to fit the "with support" (B) clamp body, which has a different internal geometry due to the security plate slot. The standard STG4545 inlay fits clamps without support. They are not interchangeable. This gasket also has a narrower glass range (6–10.76 mm versus 1.5–10.76 mm on the standard).

What glass thicknesses are available?

Five options: 6, 8, 10, 8.76, and 10.76 mm. Single tempered glass (6, 8, 10 mm) and laminated safety glass (8.76, 10.76 mm).

How many inlays do I need per clamp?

Two inlays per clamp — one on each side of the glass panel.

Which glass clamps does this fit?

This inlay fits all 45 × 45 mm glass clamps with support (B versions) in the Strofix range — flat-mount and tube-mount, satin and polished. It does not fit the without-support clamp versions.

What material is the inlay?

EPDM rubber, resistant to weathering, UV, ozone, and temperature extremes.

About Rubbers for Glass Clamps

A rubber inlay for a glass clamp is a replaceable insert that sits between the metal clamp body and the glass panel, cushioning the clamping pressure, preventing direct steel-to-glass contact and compensating for the specific panel thickness.

Each rubber pair is shaped to match a particular Strofix clamp model, ensuring a snug fit inside the clamp channel. Strofix supplies rubber inlays for all of our clamp models — with thickness options covering single-pane glass at 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 mm and laminated glass at 12.76 mm (66.2) and 16.76 mm (88.2).

Rubbers are sold individually so that an existing clamp can be reconfigured for a different glass thickness or worn inserts can be replaced without changing the clamp body itself.
