The Strofix glass clamp 45×90×25 mm, 180° is a stainless-steel glass-to-glass joint clamp with a wide bar profile for connecting two glass panels in a straight line (180° alignment) on flat mounting surfaces. The clamp measures 45 × 90 × 25 mm (H × L × depth) and holds glass panels from 6 to 10.76 mm thick. Manufactured exclusively from AISI 316 stainless steel with a satin finish. Flat mounting surface.

The 90 mm width creates a distinctive wide bar profile across the glass-to-glass joint — significantly wider than the 60 × 60 mm square 180° clamp. This elongated body distributes the clamping force over a larger area along the panel edges, and provides a more prominent visual feature at the glass joint. The 25 mm depth keeps the clamp compact despite the wide profile. Glass thickness options include 6, 8, and 10 mm single tempered glass and 8.76 and 10.76 mm laminated safety glass. The glass range tops out at 10.76 mm (for thicker glass joints up to 12.76 mm, use the 60 × 60 mm 180° clamp). AISI 316 provides marine-grade corrosion resistance. A "without rubbers" option is available for ordering the clamp body only.

Select the glass thickness at order time.

Use cases:

  • Wide-profile glass-to-glass inline joint for architectural emphasis at the panel connection
  • Joining two glass panels in a straight line (180°) where a wider clamp body is preferred
  • Design-led glass balustrade installations where the joint clamp serves as a visual element
  • Flat-mount 180° glass joints with 6–10.76 mm glass on walls and square posts
  • Marine-grade AISI 316 glass-to-glass connection with wide bar aesthetic

FAQ

How does this differ from the 60×60 mm 180° clamp?

Both are AISI 316 satin flat-mount 180° glass-to-glass joint clamps. The differences are body proportions (45 × 90 × 25 mm wide bar versus 60 × 60 mm square), glass range (6–10.76 mm versus 6–12.76 mm), and price. The wide bar provides more visual presence; the square provides a more compact joint. Choose based on the desired aesthetic and glass thickness.

What glass thicknesses are supported?

Five options: 6, 8, 10 mm single tempered glass and 8.76, 10.76 mm laminated safety glass. For thicker glass (12, 12.76 mm), use the 60 × 60 mm 180° clamp instead.

What are the clamp dimensions?

The clamp is 45 × 90 × 25 mm (H × L × depth). The 90 mm width is the widest single dimension on any glass clamp in the Strofix range.

Why is this AISI 316 only?

Glass-to-glass joint clamps are used in higher-specification installations and bear the load of two panel edges, warranting marine-grade stainless steel.

What mounting surface does this fit?

The clamp has a flat back for mounting on walls, square posts, and flat-sided structural members.

Both joined panels must be the same thickness?

Yes. Both glass panels at the joint must be the same thickness to ensure even gasket contact on both sides.

About Connector Glass Clamps

A connector glass clamp is a stainless-steel bracket that joins two glass panels at a fixed angle without requiring an intermediate post between them. It clamps two panel edges simultaneously — either in a straight 180° inline configuration or at a 90° corner — creating a continuous glass run around corners or across panel joints.

Strofix supplies connector glass clamps in many variants: 180° inline clamps, 90° corner clamps, and wall clamps. Each clamp is available to suit different panel thicknesses and installation requirements.

The correct connector clamp depends on the angle between the two panels and the body style that matches the railing layout.
