The Strofix canopy fixing wall plate – rectangular is a 140 × 40 mm decorative plate for the hanging glass canopy wall fixing point. The plate has an M10 × 15 internal thread and is manufactured from stainless steel. It provides a clean, linear appearance at the wall anchor location where the canopy tension rod system connects to the building facade.
The rectangular wall plate is the architectural alternative to the round Ø60 mm rosette plate. Both serve the same function — screwing onto the M10 threaded stud of the wall fixing to cover the anchor point — but offer different visual profiles. The rectangular 140 × 40 mm shape creates a horizontal bar detail on the wall, which suits contemporary and minimalist facade designs where linear forms are preferred over circular ones. The plate is interchangeable with the round plate on the same wall fixing.
This product is a component of the Strofix hanging glass canopy system.
The rectangular plate is the visible decorative cover that conceals the structural wall fixing at the tension rod connection point. It screws onto the M10 threaded stud of the wall fixing, presenting a 140 × 40 mm rectangular face against the wall.
The plate is 140 × 40 mm rectangular with an M10 × 15 internal thread (M10 thread, 15 mm depth).
Both plates serve the same function and fit the same wall fixing. The round plate is Ø60 mm; this rectangular plate is 140 × 40 mm. The choice is purely aesthetic — round rosette for a traditional or softer appearance, rectangular bar for a contemporary or linear design.
Yes. Both the round and rectangular plates have the same M10 × 15 internal thread and fit the same wall fixing stud. The installer or architect can choose either shape without any change to the underlying wall fixing.
The plate screws onto the M10 threaded stud that protrudes from the structural wall fixing. No adhesive or additional tools are required.
The plate is manufactured from stainless steel with a satin-quality surface finish, matching other components in the Strofix hanging canopy range.
A hanging glass canopy is a wall-mounted entrance shelter in which stainless-steel tension rods suspend the glass panel from anchor points above, transferring load diagonally back to the building façade.
The glass edge closest to the wall is carried by glass-wall fixings, while one or more tension rods run from the wall down to the outer edge of the glass, keeping the canopy in tension and eliminating the need for brackets below. Strofix supplies all the individual components for hanging canopy systems — tension rods in Ø10 and Ø12 mm (lengths from 1000 to 2000 mm), glass-wall fixings in D50/D60 and D70/D120, glass-to-tension-rod fixings in D50 and D70, wall-to-tension-rod fixings in D60 and D120, and a complete system set — in AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel with a satin finish.
The correct component selection depends on canopy span, glass weight, environment and wall structure.
Strofix designs and supplies stainless-steel fastening systems for architectural glass, including glass adaptors, railing components, handrails, and structural fixings. We also serve architects, installers, and building contractors on residential and commercial projects.
