The Strofix steel anchor D20, L 320 mm, M10 is an S235 carbon steel anchor rod with a 320 mm length, M10 thread, and 20 mm body diameter (ø). The anchor has an electrophoretic coating (e-coat) — a cathodic electrocoating process that provides uniform corrosion protection across the entire surface of the rod.
The anchor rod is embedded into concrete — either chemically using anchor mortar or cast into wet concrete — with the threaded M10 end protruding to secure railing post base plates, glass canopy brackets, and other structural components. The M10 thread matches base plates with Ø11 mm bolt holes, which is the standard bolt pattern on Ø100 mm round tube base plates and 100 × 100 mm square tube base plates. The 320 mm length provides standard-depth embedment for floor slab and balcony slab installations. The electrophoretic coating differs from zinc galvanizing — it is a paint-like dip coating applied by electrical charge, providing consistent film thickness and good adhesion to the steel substrate.
This SKU is a single fixed configuration — M10, Ø20, L = 320 mm, S235 electrophoretic only.
The rod has an M10 thread, 20 mm body diameter (ø), and 320 mm total length (L).
Electrophoretic coating (e-coat) is a corrosion protection process where the steel rod is dipped in a paint bath and an electrical charge deposits a uniform coating film onto the surface. It provides consistent film thickness, good adhesion, and corrosion resistance. This differs from zinc galvanizing, which deposits a metallic zinc layer.
The Strofix range includes both galvanized and electrophoretic-coated S235 anchors at the L = 320 mm length. The galvanized version (multi-variant, SKU ED8320B) uses a zinc coating and is available in M8/M10/M12 with Ø16/Ø20 body options. This single-config version uses electrophoretic coating with a fixed M10, Ø20 specification.
Strofix Ø100 mm round tube base plates and 100 × 100 mm square tube base plates have Ø11 mm holes for M10 bolts.
S235 structural steel with electrophoretic coating. For stainless-steel anchors, see the AISI 304 anchor (L = 330 mm).
The anchor can be chemically bonded using anchor mortar (Essve ONE or ONE-ICE) or cast directly into wet concrete.
Anchors and screws are the mechanical fasteners that secure glass adaptors, canopy brackets, railing posts, French balcony holders and other architectural hardware to the building substrate. They transfer structural loads from the visible hardware into concrete, masonry, insulated façades or timber frames.
Strofix supplies 16 products in this category: steel anchors in four lengths (150, 220, 320 and 400 mm) with rod diameters of Ø16 and Ø20 mm, an anchor sleeve (M10 × 80 mm), a spacer tube (L = 100 mm), individual screws (M10 × 45), cup nuts (M10), washers, double stainless-steel threads (M8, 60 and 100 mm), a wood screw (Ø10 × 180 mm), and pre-matched screw-and-fastener sets for 1, 2, 3 or 4 glass canopy brackets — configurable for masonry without insulation, masonry with insulation and timber-frame construction.
Materials are AISI 304 stainless steel and S235 structural steel.
The correct fastener depends on wall type, hardware product, bolt size and required embedment depth.
Strofix designs and supplies stainless-steel fastening systems for architectural glass, including glass adaptors, railing components, handrails, and structural fixings. We also serve architects, installers, and building contractors on residential and commercial projects.
