The Strofix canopy fixing wall – tension rod is a stainless-steel wall-mounted anchor point for hanging glass canopy tension rod systems. The fixing has a Ø60 mm circular rosette and is available in AISI 304 a satin finish. Select the steel grade in the dropdown at order time.
The wall fixing is the upper anchor point in a hanging glass canopy system. A tension rod connects from this wall fixing down to the glass canopy panel, supporting it from above. The glass panel hangs suspended from the tension rods rather than resting on bracket arms below — creating a lighter, more minimalist canopy appearance. The Ø60 mm rosette sits flush against the wall surface at the fixing point, providing a clean, visible mounting detail. AISI 304 is suitable for standard sheltered installations.
This product is one component of the Strofix hanging glass canopy system — see the related glass-tension rod fixing, glass-wall fixing, tension rod, and complete system set for the other system components.
A hanging glass canopy uses tension rods to suspend the glass panel from wall fixings above. The glass hangs from the rods rather than sitting on bracket arms below, creating a lighter, more architectural appearance. This differs from bracket-supported canopies where the glass rests on horizontal arms projecting from the wall.
The rosette is Ø60 mm. This is the circular plate that sits against the wall surface at the fixing point.
AISI 304 is currently available.
This fixing is anchored to the building facade wall. The specific wall anchoring method (chemical anchor, through-bolt, expansion fixing) depends on the wall construction and should be determined by a structural engineer.
A hanging glass canopy system typically requires: this wall fixing (upper anchor), a glass-panel fixing (lower connection to the glass), tension rods connecting the two, and the glass canopy panel itself. The Strofix Hanging Glass Canopies subcategory includes all of these components, plus a complete system set.
Satin finish only.
A hanging glass canopy is a wall-mounted entrance shelter in which stainless-steel tension rods suspend the glass panel from anchor points above, transferring load diagonally back to the building façade.
Strofix offers all the parts needed to build hanging canopy systems — the suspension rods, the fittings that hold the glass against the wall, the connectors that link the rods to both the glass and the wall, and complete system sets — all made in stainless steel with a satin finish.
The benefits go beyond appearance. The canopy shelters the doorway from rain and snow, keeping visitors dry as they arrive and protecting the door and threshold from constant weather exposure, which extends their working life. Because the glass is clear, daylight still reaches the entrance, so the area underneath does not feel dark or enclosed. The slim rod suspension leaves the façade largely unobstructed, which is especially valuable on buildings with detailed brickwork, stonework, or architectural features worth preserving.
The correct component selection depends on canopy span, glass weight, environment and wall structure.
Strofix designs and supplies stainless-steel fastening systems for architectural glass, including glass adaptors, railing components, handrails, and structural fixings. We also serve architects, installers, and building contractors on residential and commercial projects.
