Wood screw Ø8X100, AISI316

The Strofix wood screw Ø8 × 100 mm is made of solid AISI 316 stainless steel – 100 mm long, Ø8 mm, with a 75 mm thread – for fixing metal brackets and fittings to timber. It has a satin finish.

The screw goes through the bracket and straight into the timber – no nut is needed. AISI 316 contains molybdenum, which gives it higher resistance to chlorides and salt air than AISI 304, so the screw suits exterior and coastal installations. The corrosion resistance comes from the steel itself rather than from a coating, so it is not lost where the surface is scratched.
