The Strofix steel anchor D20, L 400 mm, M10 is an S235 carbon steel anchor rod with a 400 mm length, M10 thread, and 20 mm body diameter (ø). The anchor has an electrophoretic coating (e-coat) — a cathodic electrocoating process that provides uniform corrosion protection across the entire rod surface.
The 400 mm length is the longest anchor rod in the Strofix e-coat range, providing maximum embedment depth for thick concrete sections and high-load anchoring applications. This is used where the structural engineer specifies deep embedment — for example, in thick ground-floor slabs, heavy commercial railing installations, or glass canopy brackets carrying significant wind and snow loads. The M10 thread matches base plates with Ø11 mm bolt holes. The anchor is embedded into concrete either chemically using anchor mortar or cast into wet concrete, with the M10 threaded end protruding to secure the structural component.
This SKU is a single fixed configuration — M10, Ø20, L = 400 mm, S235 electrophoretic only.
The rod has an M10 thread, 20 mm body diameter (ø), and 400 mm total length (L). This is the longest e-coat anchor in the range.
Electrophoretic coating (e-coat) is a corrosion protection process where the rod is dipped in a paint bath and an electrical charge deposits a uniform coating film onto the surface. It provides consistent film thickness, good adhesion, and corrosion resistance, differing from zinc galvanizing which deposits a metallic zinc layer.
The Strofix e-coat S235 anchor range includes two lengths: 320 mm (standard-depth) and this 400 mm (deep-embedment). Both are M10, Ø20. Choose 320 mm for standard installations and 400 mm for thick slabs or high-load applications.
The galvanized L = 400 mm anchor uses zinc galvanizing for corrosion protection. This product uses electrophoretic coating. Both are S235, M10, Ø20, L = 400 mm. Choose based on the coating specification for the project.
Strofix Ø100 mm round tube base plates and 100 × 100 mm square tube base plates have Ø11 mm holes for M10 bolts.
The anchor can be chemically bonded using anchor mortar (Essve ONE or ONE-ICE) or cast directly into wet concrete.
Anchors and screws are the mechanical fasteners that secure glass adaptors, canopy brackets, railing posts, French balcony holders and other architectural hardware to the building substrate. They transfer structural loads from the visible hardware into concrete, masonry, insulated façades or timber frames.
Strofix supplies 16 products in this category: steel anchors in four lengths (150, 220, 320 and 400 mm) with rod diameters of Ø16 and Ø20 mm, an anchor sleeve (M10 × 80 mm), a spacer tube (L = 100 mm), individual screws (M10 × 45), cup nuts (M10), washers, double stainless-steel threads (M8, 60 and 100 mm), a wood screw (Ø10 × 180 mm), and pre-matched screw-and-fastener sets for 1, 2, 3 or 4 glass canopy brackets — configurable for masonry without insulation, masonry with insulation and timber-frame construction.
Materials are AISI 304 stainless steel and S235 structural steel. The correct fastener depends on wall type, hardware product, bolt size and required embedment depth.
Strofix designs and supplies stainless-steel fastening systems for architectural glass, including glass adaptors, railing components, handrails, and structural fixings. We also serve architects, installers, and building contractors on residential and commercial projects.
