Steel anchor D20, L 400mm, M10, S235

The Strofix steel anchor D20, L 400 mm, M10 is a solid Ø20 mm S235 steel rod, 400 mm long, with an internal M10 thread at one end and grooves for chemical anchoring at the other. It has a black electrophoretic coating (e-coat).

The grooved end – the last 200 mm – is bonded into a drilled hole in concrete or solid masonry with chemical anchor mass. The rest of the rod passes through the façade layers, and a glass adaptor, French balcony holder or other fitting is screwed into the M10 thread at its end.

The e-coat is a paint film deposited electrically, so it covers the whole rod evenly.

• Point-fixed glass and other fittings mounted through render or insulation
• Anchoring into concrete, reinforced concrete or solid masonry with chemical anchor mass

How is the anchor installed?

Drill and clean the hole, fill it with chemical anchor mass and push in the grooved end. When the resin has cured, screw the fitting into the M10 thread.

Where is the thread?

At the end of the rod, as an internal (female) M10 thread. The fitting or its fixing screw is screwed into the anchor – no thread protrudes from the rod.

Which length do I need?

The bonded section is 200 mm; the rest of the rod bridges render, insulation and other façade layers. Choose a length that reaches through the façade build-up to the fitting.

What is the finish?

S235 steel with a black electrophoretic coating (e-coat).

Which chemical anchor mass can I use?

Use a chemical anchor mass suited to the substrate. The Strofix range has 300 ml cartridges for normal temperatures and for cold weather.
