The Strofix rubber inlay for glass clamp 60×70 mm is an EPDM rubber gasket designed to fit inside the 60 × 70 mm glass clamp body — the largest and heaviest-duty glass clamp in the Strofix range. Available for glass thicknesses of 17.52 or 21.52 mm. Select the glass thickness at order time. Sold individually — two inlays are required per clamp (one on each side of the glass).

The 60 × 70 mm gasket is the largest rubber inlay in the Strofix range, designed for the thickest structural laminated safety glass panels. The 17.52 mm and 21.52 mm glass options represent the absolute maximum glass thicknesses in the Strofix product line — heavy laminated configurations used in structural glass barriers under extreme loading conditions. This inlay fits the 60 × 70 mm flat-mount glass clamp (SKU ST-60700), which is manufactured exclusively in AISI 316 stainless steel. EPDM rubber provides consistent clamping pressure on these ultra-thick glass panels and is resistant to weathering, UV exposure, ozone, and temperature extremes.

Use cases:

  • Replacement EPDM gasket for the 60 × 70 mm AISI 316 flagship glass clamp
  • Changing between 17.52 and 21.52 mm glass on an existing 60 × 70 clamp
  • Spare gaskets for ultra-thick glass balustrade installations
  • Maintaining the highest-specification glass balustrade installations in the Strofix range

FAQ

What glass thicknesses are available?

Two options: 17.52 mm and 21.52 mm laminated safety glass. These are the thickest glass panels supported by any clamp in the Strofix range.

Which glass clamp does this fit?

This inlay fits the 60 × 70 mm flat-mount glass clamp (SKU ST-60700) only — the AISI 316 flagship clamp for ultra-thick glass.

Why does this gasket cost more than the others?

The 60 × 70 gasket is the largest in the range, using significantly more EPDM material to grip the thickest glass panels (17.52–21.52 mm). The higher price reflects the larger gasket volume.

How many inlays do I need per clamp?

Two inlays per clamp — one on each side of the glass panel.

What material is the inlay?

EPDM rubber, resistant to weathering, UV, ozone, and temperature extremes.

About Rubbers for Glass Clamps

A rubber inlay for a glass clamp is a replaceable insert that sits between the metal clamp body and the glass panel, cushioning the clamping pressure, preventing direct steel-to-glass contact and compensating for the specific panel thickness.

Each rubber pair is shaped to match a particular Strofix clamp model, ensuring a snug fit inside the clamp channel. Strofix supplies rubber inlays for all of our clamp models — with thickness options covering single-pane glass at 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 mm and laminated glass at 12.76 mm (66.2) and 16.76 mm (88.2).

Rubbers are sold individually so that an existing clamp can be reconfigured for a different glass thickness or worn inserts can be replaced without changing the clamp body itself.
