The Strofix glass clamp 60×60 mm final for Ø42.4 tube is a stainless-steel end clamp designed for the termination point of a glass balustrade run on Ø42.4 mm round railing post tubes. The "final" designation means this clamp is used where the glass panel ends — at the end of a railing run or at a corner — providing a finished edge appearance. The clamp measures 60 × 60 mm and holds glass panels from 6 to 12.76 mm thick. Manufactured exclusively from AISI 316 stainless steel with a satin finish. Mounts on Ø42.4 mm tube.

The end clamp wraps around or encloses the exposed edge of the glass panel at its termination point, preventing the raw glass edge from being visible or accessible. This is the tube-mount counterpart to the flat-mount final clamp (50 × 60 mm, SKU ST-050600F). The square 60 × 60 mm body is slightly larger than the flat version and starts at 6 mm glass (versus 8 mm on the flat final). The curved back face wraps around the Ø42.4 mm tube surface. Glass thickness options include 6, 8, 10, and 12 mm single tempered glass and 8.76, 10.76, and 12.76 mm laminated safety glass (66.2). AISI 316 provides marine-grade corrosion resistance. A "without rubbers" option is available for ordering the clamp body only.

Select the glass thickness at order time.

Use cases:

  • End termination of glass balustrade runs on Ø42.4 mm round railing post tubes
  • Finishing the exposed glass edge at the end of a railing section on round tube posts
  • Corner termination points on round tube railing systems
  • Glass balustrade systems on round posts requiring a clean end detail in AISI 316
  • Marine-grade end clamp for tube-mounted coastal installations

FAQ

What does "final" mean?

"Final" indicates this is an end clamp used where a glass panel terminates, rather than at a mid-run position. It encloses the exposed glass edge for a finished appearance at the end of the railing run.

How does this compare to the flat-mount final clamp?

The flat final (SKU ST-050600F, 50 × 60 mm) mounts on walls and square posts with glass starting at 8 mm. This tube final (60 × 60 mm) mounts on Ø42.4 round tubes with glass starting at 6 mm. Both are AISI 316 only and satin finish.

What glass thicknesses are supported?

The clamp accepts glass from 6 to 12.76 mm: single tempered glass (6, 8, 10, 12 mm) and laminated safety glass (8.76, 10.76, 12.76 mm / 66.2).

Why is this AISI 316 only?

End clamps are used in higher-specification installations and are more exposed to the elements than mid-run clamps, making marine-grade stainless steel the standard.

What tube does this mount on?

The clamp mounts on the Ø42.4 mm round railing post tube with a curved back face.

How does this relate to the standard tube-mount clamps?

The standard side-clamping tube clamps hold the main span of the glass panel. This final clamp is used at the end of the run to finish the exposed glass edge. Both types are used together.
