The Strofix glass clamp 60×60 mm 180°, flat is a stainless-steel glass-to-glass joint clamp for connecting two glass panels in a straight line (180° alignment) on flat mounting surfaces. The "180°" designation means the clamp joins the meeting edges of two adjacent glass panels that sit in the same plane — creating a continuous glass balustrade run from multiple panels. The clamp measures 60 × 60 mm and holds glass panels from 6 to 12.76 mm thick. Manufactured exclusively from AISI 316 stainless steel with a satin finish. Flat mounting surface. Secured with M8 screws.

When a glass balustrade run is longer than a single glass panel, multiple panels are placed side by side and joined at their meeting edges. This 180° clamp sits at the joint between two panels, gripping both panel edges simultaneously and maintaining the straight-line alignment. Each panel edge is held by rubber gaskets within the clamp body. This is distinct from the standard side-clamping glass clamps (which hold a single panel to a post) and from the final/end clamps (which terminate a single panel). Glass thickness options include 6, 8, 10, and 12 mm single tempered glass and 8.76, 10.76, and 12.76 mm laminated safety glass (66.2). A "without rubbers" option is available for ordering the clamp body only.

Select the glass thickness at order time.

Use cases:

  • Joining two glass panels inline (180°) in a continuous glass balustrade run
  • Long balustrade sections requiring multiple glass panels side by side
  • Glass-to-glass connection point on flat-sided posts and walls
  • Continuous glass balustrade runs where the glass line must remain uninterrupted
  • Marine-grade AISI 316 glass-to-glass connection for coastal installations

FAQ

What does "180°" mean?

180° refers to the angle between the two glass panels — they sit in the same plane, forming a straight line. The clamp connects their meeting edges where one panel ends and the next begins.

How does this differ from the standard side-clamp and the final clamp?

The standard side-clamp holds a single glass panel to a post or wall. The final (end) clamp terminates a single panel at the end of a run. This 180° clamp connects two panels at their meeting edges, creating a continuous glass line.

What glass thicknesses are supported?

The clamp accepts glass from 6 to 12.76 mm: single tempered glass (6, 8, 10, 12 mm) and laminated safety glass (8.76, 10.76, 12.76 mm / 66.2). Both joined panels must be the same thickness.

Why is this AISI 316 only?

Glass-to-glass joint clamps are typically used in higher-specification installations where the full balustrade system is in AISI 316. The joint position also bears the load of two panel edges, warranting marine-grade steel.

What screw size is used?

M8 screws secure the clamp to the flat mounting surface.

What mounting surface does this fit?

The clamp has a flat back for mounting on walls, square posts, and flat-sided structural members. For tube-mounted glass-to-glass connections, check the Strofix range for a tube-mount 180° version.
