The Strofix glass clamp 60×50 mm final, flat is a stainless-steel end clamp designed for the termination point of a glass balustrade run on flat mounting surfaces. The "final" designation means this clamp is used where the glass panel ends — at the end of a railing run or at a corner — providing a finished edge appearance rather than a through-clamping connection. The clamp measures 50 × 60 mm and holds glass panels from 8 to 12.76 mm thick. Manufactured exclusively from AISI 316 stainless steel with a satin finish. Flat mounting surface. Secured with M8 screws.

The end clamp wraps around or encloses the exposed edge of the glass panel where it terminates, preventing the raw glass edge from being visible or accessible. This is a finishing detail rather than a mid-run structural clamp — it is used in combination with the standard side-clamping glass clamps that hold the main span of the glass panel. The AISI 316 grade provides marine-grade corrosion resistance. Glass thickness options include 8, 10, and 12 mm single tempered glass and 8.76, 10.76, and 12.76 mm laminated safety glass (66.2). A "without rubbers" option is available for ordering the clamp body only.

Select the glass thickness at order time.

Use cases:

  • End termination of glass balustrade runs on flat-sided posts and walls
  • Finishing the exposed glass edge at the end of a railing section
  • Corner termination points where the glass panel does not continue
  • Glass balustrade systems requiring a clean end detail in AISI 316
  • Marine-grade end clamp for coastal and high-humidity installations

FAQ

What does "final" mean?

"Final" indicates this is an end clamp — it is used at the point where a glass panel terminates, rather than at a mid-run position where two panels meet or the glass continues. The clamp encloses the exposed glass edge for a finished appearance.

What glass thicknesses are supported?

The clamp accepts glass from 8 to 12.76 mm: single tempered glass (8, 10, 12 mm) and laminated safety glass (8.76, 10.76, 12.76 mm / 66.2).

Why is this AISI 316 only?

End clamps are typically used in higher-specification installations where the full balustrade system is specified in AISI 316. The end position is also more exposed to the elements than mid-run clamps, making marine-grade steel appropriate.

What screw size is used?

M8 screws secure the clamp to the flat mounting surface.

How does this relate to the standard glass clamps?

The standard side-clamping glass clamps (45×45, 52×52, etc.) hold the main span of the glass panel from above and below. This final clamp is used at the end of the run to finish the exposed glass edge. Both types are used together in a complete glass balustrade installation.

What mounting surface does this fit?

The clamp has a flat back for mounting on walls, square posts, and flat-sided structural members.
