The Strofix wire rope tensioner Ø 3mm, Satin is an AISI 316 stainless-steel tensioner that applies and adjusts the tension of a Ø3 mm wire rope in a cable balustrade system. It has an M8 screw and a satin finish.
A tensioner sits at the end of a cable run and lets the Ø3 mm stainless-steel rope be pulled taut and adjusted to the correct tension, keeping the cable infill straight and firm between posts. It is threaded with an M8 screw and made from AISI 316 stainless steel, which contains added molybdenum for higher resistance to chlorides and salt air, suiting exterior, coastal, and high-humidity installations. It works with the Strofix Ø3 mm rope and the other wire rope system components, including the rope holders.

About Wire Rope Systems
A wire rope system is a stainless-steel cable infill for balustrades, where horizontal tensioned ropes run between railing posts to form a lightweight, open barrier. The thin cables maintain visibility and airflow while providing fall protection on balconies, terraces, decks and staircases.
Strofix supplies all components for wire rope balustrades: a Ø3 mm stainless-steel rope in AISI 316 (available from 1m lengths), rope holders that clamp the cable to the post, rope crossbar holders, rope bar holders, and railing terminals that anchor the cable end at the first and last post.
The holders and terminals are supplied in AISI 304 stainless steel with a satin finish, designed for Ø42.4 mm round pipe posts and flat surfaces. The correct component selection depends on post type, the number of cable runs and the total railing length.
