The Strofix wire rope holder Ø 3mm, 51mm, Satin is an AISI 316 stainless-steel standoff holder that secures a Ø3 mm wire rope at a 51 mm projection from the mounting surface. It is fixed with an M6 screw and has a satin finish.

This is the 51 mm standoff version of the Ø3 mm rope holder: its 51 mm body holds the tensioned cable clear of the post or wall, so a wire rope balustrade can stand off the mounting surface by a fixed distance. It is made from AISI 316 stainless steel, which contains added molybdenum for higher resistance to chlorides and salt air, suiting exterior, coastal, and high-humidity installations. Longer 100 mm and adjustable 150–210 mm versions are also available, alongside the shorter standard holder. It works with the Strofix Ø3 mm rope and the other wire rope system components.

About Wire Rope Systems

A wire rope system is a stainless-steel cable infill for balustrades, where horizontal tensioned ropes run between railing posts to form a lightweight, open barrier. The thin cables maintain visibility and airflow while providing fall protection on balconies, terraces, decks and staircases.

Strofix supplies all components for wire rope balustrades: a Ø3 mm stainless-steel rope in AISI 316 (available from 1m lengths), rope holders that clamp the cable to the post, rope crossbar holders, rope bar holders, and railing terminals that anchor the cable end at the first and last post.

The holders and terminals are supplied in AISI 304 stainless steel with a satin finish, designed for Ø42.4 mm round pipe posts and flat surfaces. The correct component selection depends on post type, the number of cable runs and the total railing length.
