The Strofix profile corner for glass 21,52mm, Anodized aluminum, Satin is an anodized aluminium corner U-profile for glass-top handrails, sized for 21.52 mm glass. It is an L-shaped corner section with 200 × 200 mm angle arms, letting the channel turn a 90° corner where two glass panels meet at right angles. Made from anodized aluminium with a satin finish. Installation is without a gasket, using silicone.

Where the straight channel profiles run along the top edge of a single glass panel, this corner profile carries the channel around an external or internal 90° corner — joining the handrail channel across the junction where two glass balustrade panels meet. Each arm of the corner is 200 mm long, providing a stable overlap onto the straight channel runs on either side. This 21.52 mm version is sized to heavy laminated safety glass, the thickest in the range. It is bonded to the glass with silicone; no clamping rubber is used with this profile. It matches the 21.52 mm glass channel profiles and pairs with the applied handrails.

Use cases:

  • Turning a glass-top handrail channel through a 90° corner
  • Joining the handrail channel where two 21.52 mm glass panels meet at right angles
  • Corner junction in a frameless glass balustrade handrail
  • Silicone-bonded corner channel for 21.52 mm laminated glass
  • Anodized aluminium corner profile for glass-top handrails

FAQ

What is a corner profile for?

It carries the handrail channel around a 90° corner, joining the channel where two glass panels meet at right angles — something the straight profiles cannot do.

What are the corner dimensions?

The corner angle arms are 200 × 200 mm.

What is it made from?

Anodized aluminium with a satin finish.

What glass thickness does it fit?

21.52 mm laminated glass — the thickest in the range.

How is it installed?

Without a gasket, using silicone — the profile is bonded to the glass.

What else do I need for a glass-top handrail?

The straight channel profiles for the runs, the applied handrail that sits on the channel, plus end caps and fittings.

About Handrails

A handrail is the graspable top rail of a balustrade system, running along the upper edge of railing posts or the top of a glass panel to provide a secure handhold. The handrail profile sits on handrail supports or is fixed directly to the glass via a channel bar, and fittings at each joint — elbows, end caps and axial connectors — allow the rail to follow corners, stair pitches and direction changes.

Strofix supplies handrails and handrail components in two profile systems: a 40×40 mm flat square profile and a Ø42.4 × 15 mm oval (D-shaped) profile for glass-top mounting, both in AISI 304 stainless steel with a satin finish.

The range includes applied handrail lengths (2500 mm), channel bars in AISI 304 and aluminium for glass-top fixing, clamping rubbers for glass thicknesses from 8 to 21.52 mm, end caps, axial fastenings, handrail fittings, horizontal and vertical 90° fittings, and flush adjustable elbows. The correct components depend on handrail profile, mounting method (post-top or glass-top) and the railing layout.
