The Strofix connector for slot handrail 40x40mm, Satin is a stainless-steel axial connector for the 40 × 40 mm slot handrail profile, available in AISI 304 or AISI 316. It joins two handrail sections end to end in a straight line, giving a continuous run where the length of a single handrail is exceeded. It is made for 40 × 40 × 1.5 mm tube with a low fitting height of 6 mm, in a satin finish.

An axial connector (straight coupler) bridges the joint between two handrail sections that meet in a straight line. The low 6 mm profile keeps the joint discreet, so the two rail lengths read as one continuous handhold. It is used where a handrail run is longer than an available single length and must be spliced, or where two rail sections meet at a straight junction. Choose the steel grade (AISI 304 or AISI 316) at order time. It is used with the 40 × 40 mm handrail profile in post-top or glass-top handrail systems.

About Handrails

A handrail is the graspable top rail of a balustrade system, running along the upper edge of railing posts or the top of a glass panel to provide a secure handhold. The handrail profile sits on handrail supports or is fixed directly to the glass via a channel bar, and fittings at each joint – elbows, end caps and axial connectors – allow the rail to follow corners, stair pitches and direction changes.
