The Strofix vertical elbow for handrail 40x40mm, Satin, 90° is an AISI 316 stainless-steel vertical 90° fitting for the 40 × 40 mm handrail profile. It turns the handrail through a right angle in the vertical plane, joining a horizontal rail to a vertical rail section. It is made for 40 × 40 × 1.5 mm tube with a fitting height of 50 mm, in a satin finish.

A vertical 90° fitting carries the handrail up or down through a right angle – for example, where a rail rises vertically to meet a wall, turns up an upstand, or steps between two levels. Unlike the adjustable elbows, which set a variable pitch, this fitting forms a fixed vertical 90° turn. About Handrails

A handrail is the graspable top rail of a balustrade system, running along the upper edge of railing posts or the top of a glass panel to provide a secure handhold. The handrail profile sits on handrail supports or is fixed directly to the glass via a channel bar, and fittings at each joint – elbows, end caps and axial connectors – allow the rail to follow corners, stair pitches and direction changes.
