The Strofix elbow adjustable for slot handrail 42,4mm, Satin, Bottom is an AISI 304 stainless-steel adjustable flush elbow for the Ø42.4 mm slot (glass-top) handrail profile. It joins two handrail sections at a variable angle, adjustable across a 0–70° range, giving a smooth flush joint where the rail changes pitch or direction. Satin finish.

An adjustable elbow lets the handrail follow a change of pitch – most often at the top or bottom of a staircase, where the raking rail meets a level rail or a landing. This is the "Bottom" version, oriented for the lower transition of a stair run, where the raking handrail meets the level rail at the foot of the stairs; the "Upper" version handles the top transition. The flush design keeps the joint smooth and continuous along the handrail surface. It is used with the Ø42.4 mm slot handrail profile in a glass-top handrail system.

About Handrails

A handrail is the graspable top rail of a balustrade system, running along the upper edge of railing posts or the top of a glass panel to provide a secure handhold. The handrail profile sits on handrail supports or is fixed directly to the glass via a channel bar, and fittings at each joint – elbows, end caps and axial connectors – allow the rail to follow corners, stair pitches and direction changes.

Strofix supplies handrails and handrail components in two profile systems: a 40×40 mm flat square profile and a Ø42.4 × 15 mm oval (D-shaped) profile for glass-top mounting, both in AISI 304 stainless steel with a satin finish.

The range includes applied handrail lengths (2500 mm), channel bars in AISI 304 and aluminium for glass-top fixing, clamping rubbers for glass thicknesses from 8 to 21.52 mm, end caps, axial fastenings, handrail fittings, horizontal and vertical 90° fittings, and flush adjustable elbows.
