The Strofix glass clamp 45×45 mm for Ø42.4 tube with support is a stainless-steel glass panel holder designed for mounting on Ø42.4 mm round railing post tubes. The clamp measures 45 × 45 × 26 mm (L × H × depth) and holds glass panels from 6 to 10.76 mm thick. The distance between the mounting surface and the glass panel is 20 mm. Available in AISI 304 or AISI 316 with a satin finish. Includes security plate and safety pin. Attached by screwing.
The "with support" version includes a security plate and safety pin — a metal bracket underneath the glass panel that provides a secondary mechanical safety catch in addition to the rubber gasket clamping force. The set also enables side-mounting to posts. The curved back face wraps around the Ø42.4 mm tube surface. Glass thickness options cover single tempered glass (6, 8, 10 mm) and laminated safety glass (8.76, 10.76 mm). AISI 304 is suitable for standard installations; AISI 316 provides higher chloride resistance for coastal or exposed environments.
Select the glass thickness and steel grade in the dropdowns at order time.
A security plate and safety pin sit underneath the glass panel, providing a secondary mechanical catch that prevents the glass from dropping if the primary clamping force is disrupted. The set also enables side-mounting to posts.
Both are 45 × 45 mm satin tube-mount clamps for Ø42.4 with AISI 304/316. The with-support version adds the security plate and safety pin and starts at 6 mm glass (the without-support version also accepts 4 mm). The with-support version costs approximately €0.87 more per clamp.
The clamp accepts glass from 6 to 10.76 mm: single tempered glass (6, 8, 10 mm) and laminated safety glass (8.76, 10.76 mm).
The clamp mounts on the Ø42.4 mm round railing post tube with a curved back face.
AISI 304 and AISI 316. Choose AISI 316 for coastal, pool, or high-humidity installations.
Both are 45 × 45 mm satin with-support clamps offering AISI 304/316. The difference is mounting surface: this product has a curved back for Ø42.4 round tubes; the flat version has a flat back for walls and square posts.
A glass clamp for pipe is a stainless-steel bracket with a curved back profiled to sit flush against a round post, gripping a glass panel along its edge without requiring a drilled hole. The curved saddle wraps around the tube circumference, and the front half clamps the glass with rubber inserts that cushion the contact and accommodate the panel thickness.
Strofix supplies pipe-mount glass clamps in eight body variants — from compact 45×45 mm and 40×50 mm bodies to larger 52×52 mm, 55×67 mm and 45×63 mm bodies with glass-edge overhangs up to 18 mm — profiled for Ø42.4 mm and Ø48.3 mm round pipe, in AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel with satin or polished finishes.
Most variants include an integrated glass support shelf; one compact variant is supplied without a supporter. The correct clamp depends on body size, pipe diameter, steel grade and whether a built-in glass support is needed.
Strofix designs and supplies stainless-steel fastening systems for architectural glass, including glass adaptors, railing components, handrails, and structural fixings. We also serve architects, installers, and building contractors on residential and commercial projects.
