The Strofix undersupported bracket for glass canopy (1100–1300 mm) is a wall-mounted steel support arm designed to carry a glass canopy panel from below, without the need for overhead tension rods or cables. Manufactured from carbon steel S235, powder-coated in a choice of three colours: black (RAL 9005 matt), anthracite (RAL 7016), or brown (RAL 8017). Glass projection depth from the wall: 1100–1300 mm. Weight per bracket: 8 kg. Sold individually — the price is for one support arm.
The undersupported design is intended for installations where overhead fixings are not possible — for example, where the wall above the canopy position is occupied by windows, cladding, or lacks structural capacity for tension rod anchoring. The bracket mounts to the wall and supports the glass panel from underneath, transferring the canopy load directly into the wall structure. Two or more brackets are typically required per canopy, spaced according to the glass panel width and load requirements.
For custom RAL colours beyond the three standard options, contact Strofix directly.
Select from three standard powder-coated finishes: black (RAL 9005 matt), anthracite (RAL 7016), or brown (RAL 8017). The colour is selected from the dropdown when ordering. For colours outside these three options, contact Strofix to request a custom RAL finish.
The number of brackets depends on the glass panel width. Typical configurations use 2 brackets for widths up to approximately 1800 mm, 3 brackets for widths up to approximately 2500 mm, and 4 brackets for wider canopies. Strofix also sells complete canopy kits with matched brackets and glass if preferred.
This bracket is manufactured from carbon steel S235. Strofix also offers an undersupported bracket in the 1100–1300 mm depth range in S355 structural steel, which has a higher yield strength. The choice depends on the structural requirements of the installation. Both versions are available in the same colour range.
The bracket is designed to support laminated toughened glass canopy panels. Glass thickness and type should be selected based on the canopy span, load requirements, and applicable building regulations. Glass is not included — it is ordered separately or as part of a complete canopy kit.
The bracket supports glass panels with a projection of 1100 to 1300 mm from the wall face. For shallower projections (900–1050 mm), a shorter bracket variant is available in the Strofix undersupported canopy range.
Yes. The price is for one bracket. Order the required quantity based on the canopy configuration.
An under-supported glass canopy is a wall-mounted entrance shelter in which diagonal steel brackets carry the glass panel from below, transferring load from the canopy back to the building façade. The brackets project outward and downward from the wall, supporting the glass without any overhead tie-rods or hanging hardware, which makes this mounting style suited to entrances where a clean soffit and unobstructed overhead clearance are required.
Strofix supplies under-supported glass canopy brackets in S355 structural steel and stainless steel, with projection depths from 900 to 1300 mm, in black, anthracite and brown finishes. Complete canopy kits on 2, 3 or 4 supports are available with laminated toughened glass (66.2 or 88.2) in widths from 1400 to 3800 mm, and loose glass panels can be ordered separately with or without drilled holes.
Choosing the correct configuration depends on canopy width, projection depth, glass thickness and colour preference.
