The Strofix undersupported bracket for glass canopy 900–1050 is a S355 structural steel painted bracket that supports a glass canopy panel from underneath, designed for glass depths from 900 to 1050 mm from the wall. Sold individually at 7 kg per bracket, in three colour options (black, anthracite, or brown), for installations where a canopy tension rod cannot be attached above.
The bracket is manufactured from S355 structural steel and painted in a RAL colour finish. It is designed for locations where overhead space or structural conditions prevent the use of a tension rod above the glass — the bracket carries the glass entirely from below. For a complete canopy, two to four brackets are typically required depending on the total glass length, paired with a separately ordered glass panel at the matching depth. Wall anchors are not included and must be matched to the substrate.
The painted finish is available in three standard RAL colours. Custom colours are available on request by contacting Strofix directly.
One S355 structural steel painted bracket in the selected colour. Glass panels and wall anchors are not included and must be ordered separately. The price shown is per single bracket.
The bracket is available in black, anthracite, and brown. Choose the colour that matches or complements the building facade. For other RAL colours, contact Strofix for a custom order.
The bracket is designed for glass canopy panels with a depth (projection from the wall) of 900 to 1050 mm. For deeper canopies, the Strofix undersupported bracket for 1100–1300 mm is available as a separate product.
The number depends on the total canopy length. Typically two brackets are used for shorter canopies, three for medium spans, and four for longer installations. Match the bracket quantity to the glass panel length and the number of support points required.
This undersupported bracket is designed for installations where it is not possible to attach a canopy tension rod above the glass — for example, under balconies, overhangs, or where the wall above the door lacks the structural capacity for top fixings. The bracket supports the glass entirely from underneath.
The bracket mounts to solid structural walls — concrete, brick, or equivalent — using wall anchors matched to the substrate (not included). Bracket mounting requires standard masonry drilling tools and a torque wrench. Placing the glass panel onto the brackets requires at least two people using glass suction lifters. For safe installation, most projects benefit from a professional glazier
An under-supported glass canopy is a wall-mounted entrance shelter in which diagonal steel brackets carry the glass panel from below, transferring load from the canopy back to the building façade. The brackets project outward and downward from the wall, supporting the glass without any overhead tie-rods or hanging hardware, which makes this mounting style suited to entrances where a clean soffit and unobstructed overhead clearance are required.
Strofix supplies under-supported glass canopy brackets in S355 structural steel and stainless steel, with projection depths from 900 to 1300 mm, in black, anthracite and brown finishes. Complete canopy kits on 2, 3 or 4 supports are available with laminated toughened glass (66.2 or 88.2) in widths from 1400 to 3800 mm, and loose glass panels can be ordered separately with or without drilled holes.
Choosing the correct configuration depends on canopy width, projection depth, glass thickness and colour preference.
Strofix designs and supplies stainless-steel fastening systems for architectural glass, including glass adaptors, railing components, handrails, and structural fixings. We also serve architects, installers, and building contractors on residential and commercial projects.
