The Strofix hanging glass canopy with 2 rods is a complete, ready-to-install glass canopy system for building entrances, doorways, and facade-mounted weather protection. The kit includes a 12.76 mm (66.2) laminated safety glass panel and all AISI 304 stainless-steel hardware required for a 2-rod suspension installation. Select the glass panel dimensions and finish at order time.
The glass panel is available in three widths (1400, 1600, or 1800 mm) and three depths (900, 1000, or 1100 mm), providing nine size combinations to match the entrance width and desired projection from the facade. The hardware finish is selectable from four options: satin stainless steel, or three RAL painted finishes — RAL 7016 (gray-anthracite), RAL 8019 (brown), and RAL 9005 MAT (matte black). The 12.76 mm glass is 66.2 laminated safety glass (two 6 mm tempered panes bonded with a 0.76 mm PVB interlayer), providing both structural strength and safety compliance — if the outer pane breaks, the fragments remain bonded to the PVB film. The glass requires a minimum ø22 mm hole for the fixing points. The two tension rods are 1000 mm each and include the turnbuckle adjustment mechanism for on-site tensioning.
This is a quote-based product — contact Strofix for pricing based on the selected configuration.

FAQ
What is included in the kit?
The kit includes the 12.76 mm (66.2) laminated safety glass panel in the selected dimensions, two 1000 mm tension rods with turnbuckle adjustment, all wall fixings, glass fixings, and decorative wall plates in the selected finish. Everything needed for a 2-rod hanging canopy installation is included.
What glass panel sizes are available?
Three widths: 1400, 1600, or 1800 mm. Three depths (projection from wall): 900, 1000, or 1100 mm. This gives nine size combinations. Select both dimensions at order time.
What finishes are available?
Four options: satin stainless steel (natural brushed metal), RAL 7016 gray-anthracite (painted), RAL 8019 brown (painted), and RAL 9005 MAT matte black (painted). All four finishes apply to the stainless-steel hardware. The glass panel is clear.
What is the glass specification?
12.76 mm laminated safety glass (66.2 designation): two 6 mm tempered glass panes bonded with a 0.76 mm PVB interlayer. The glass requires a minimum ø22 mm hole at each fixing point.
How much does it cost?
This is a quote-based product. The price depends on the selected glass dimensions and finish. Contact Strofix for a quotation.
How is the canopy installed?
The wall fixings are anchored to the building facade (concrete or masonry using chemical anchors). The tension rods connect from the wall fixings above to the glass panel fixings below, suspending the glass at an angle. The turnbuckle mechanism on the rods allows tension adjustment after assembly. Professional installation is recommended.
About Hanging Glass Canopies
A hanging glass canopy is a wall-mounted entrance shelter in which stainless-steel tension rods suspend the glass panel from anchor points above, transferring load diagonally back to the building façade.
Strofix offers all the parts needed to build hanging canopy systems — the suspension rods, the fittings that hold the glass against the wall, the connectors that link the rods to both the glass and the wall, and complete system sets — all made in stainless steel with a satin finish.
Why choose hanging glass canopy? The benefits go beyond appearance. The canopy shelters the doorway from rain and snow, keeping visitors dry as they arrive and protecting the door and threshold from constant weather exposure, which extends their working life. Because the glass is clear, daylight still reaches the entrance, so the area underneath does not feel dark or enclosed. The slim rod suspension leaves the façade largely unobstructed, which is especially valuable on buildings with detailed brickwork, stonework, or architectural features worth preserving.
The correct component selection depends on canopy span, glass weight, environment and wall structure.
