The Strofix glass clamp 30×30 mm for Ø42.4 tube is the smallest glass clamp in the Strofix range, designed for mounting on Ø42.4 mm round railing post tubes. The clamp measures 30 × 30 × 18 mm (L × H × depth) and holds glass panels from 4 to 8 mm thick. The distance between the mounting surface and the glass panel is 12 mm. Manufactured from AISI 304 with a satin finish. Without supporter. Attached by screwing.
The 30 × 30 mm mini format creates a compact, unobtrusive glass holding point on the round post tube. The curved back face of the clamp wraps around the Ø42.4 mm tube surface for a secure fit. The 4–8 mm glass range is unique in the Strofix clamp family — this is the only clamp that accepts 4 mm glass, making it suitable for lightweight decorative glass, interior glass partitions, and thin tempered glass panels where structural glass balustrade capacity is not required. The 12 mm standoff (distance from tube surface to glass) is shorter than the 20 mm standoff on the flat-mount clamps, keeping the glass close to the post for a compact assembly. This product is available in AISI 304 satin only.
Select the glass thickness in the dropdown at order time.
The clamp accepts glass from 4 to 8 mm: single tempered or annealed glass at 4, 6, and 8 mm. This is the only glass clamp in the Strofix range that supports 4 mm glass. A "without rubbers" option is available for ordering the clamp body only.
The clamp mounts on the Ø42.4 mm round railing post tube. The back face is curved to match the tube surface. It does not fit flat surfaces or the Ø48.3 mm tube.
The Strofix range includes a 30×30 flat-mount version for walls and square posts. This product has a curved back for Ø42.4 round tube mounting. The glass range, standoff, and pricing differ between the two mounting types.
The standoff is 12 mm — the distance from the tube surface to the glass panel. This is shorter than the 20 mm standoff on the flat-mount clamps, keeping the glass closer to the post.
The clamp is 30 × 30 × 18 mm (L × H × depth). This is the smallest and shallowest glass clamp in the Strofix range.
No. This clamp does not include a safety support bracket. The glass is held by clamping pressure between rubber gaskets only.
A glass clamp for pipe is a stainless-steel bracket with a curved back profiled to sit flush against a round post, gripping a glass panel along its edge without requiring a drilled hole. The curved saddle wraps around the tube circumference, and the front half clamps the glass with rubber inserts that cushion the contact and accommodate the panel thickness.
Strofix supplies pipe-mount glass clamps in eight body variants — from compact 45×45 mm and 40×50 mm bodies to larger 52×52 mm, 55×67 mm and 45×63 mm bodies with glass-edge overhangs up to 18 mm — profiled for Ø42.4 mm and Ø48.3 mm round pipe, in AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel with satin or polished finishes.
Most variants include an integrated glass support shelf; one compact variant is supplied without a supporter. The correct clamp depends on body size, pipe diameter, steel grade and whether a built-in glass support is needed.
Strofix designs and supplies stainless-steel fastening systems for architectural glass, including glass adaptors, railing components, handrails, and structural fixings. We also serve architects, installers, and building contractors on residential and commercial projects.
