The Strofix ellipsoid end cap is an AISI 304 stainless-steel dome that closes the open end of Ø42.4x2 mm railing tube. Supplied with a polished finish.
The rounded ellipsoid profile stands slightly proud of the tube and softens the termination, which suits post tops and handrail ends that people pass close to. It is press-fitted into the tube – no welding or adhesive is needed.
Closing the tube keeps rain and debris out of the hollow section. AISI 304 stainless steel is suitable for standard interior and exterior installations.

How does it differ from the flat and convex caps?
The ellipsoid cap has the most pronounced dome of the three. The flat cap sits almost level with the tube, the convex cap has a shallow curve, and the ellipsoid stands proud with a rounded profile.

Will it stay in place outdoors?
Yes. The press fit holds it in the tube. For exposed locations where the cap could be knocked, a welded cap is the more secure option.
About End Caps
An end cap closes the open end of a railing tube, post or crossbar rod, keeping water and dirt out and giving the end a clean, finished look.
