The Strofix bottom fastening is an AISI 304 stainless-steel satin-finished base plate for the Ø42.4 mm railing post tube. The plate has a Ø100 mm diameter (D), 6 mm thickness (h), and four Ø11 mm bolt holes (for M10 bolts). Supplied with a satin finish. The post tube is attached by welding (elements for welding included).
The four-bolt satin base plate provides the maximum anchor security among the satin-finished round tube base plates in the Strofix range. Four M10 fixing points distribute the post loading evenly across the base, providing the highest resistance to overturning moments. The satin finish makes this plate suitable for visible installations where no decorative cover is placed over the base — the polished surface provides a finished appearance matching other Strofix satin-finished railing components. The 6 mm plate thickness provides greater rigidity than the 4 mm raw-surface base plates. AISI 304 stainless steel is suitable for standard interior and exterior installations.
This SKU is a single fixed configuration — Ø100, h = 6, 4 bolt holes, satin, AISI 304 only.
The base plate fits the Ø42.4 mm round post tube — the standard railing pipe in the Strofix product range.
The plate is Ø100 mm diameter (D) with a 6 mm thickness (h). Four Ø11 mm bolt holes accept M10 bolts.
The Strofix range includes three satin-finished base plates for the Ø42.4 mm tube, differing by bolt count: 2-bolt (SKU SP-4210062), 3-bolt (SKU SP-4210063), and this 4-bolt version. All share the satin finish and h = 6 mm thickness. Four bolts provide the highest anchor security; two bolts provide the simplest installation. Choose based on the structural requirements.
Satin-finished base plates are designed for visible installations where the base is not concealed by a decorative cover. The polished surface matches other Strofix satin railing components.
The Ø11 mm bolt holes provide clearance for M10 bolts or anchor rods.
The post tube is welded to the base plate using TIG or MIG welding.
A base or clamp fastening is a stainless-steel plate or bracket that anchors a railing post to the building structure, forming the structural foundation of the balustrade. Bottom fastenings bolt to the top of a floor slab, deck or beam, while side fastenings bolt to the vertical face of a fascia, edge beam or wall. Assembly clamps grip an existing tube or post without welding, and assembly plates provide a flat mounting surface for auxiliary connections.
Strofix supplies 18 base and clamp products for Ø42.4 mm round pipe and 40×40 mm flat-sided square posts, with plate diameters from Ø80 to Ø100 mm (round) and plate dimensions from 80×80 to 135×56 mm (rectangular/square), in satin or raw-surface stainless steel with AISI 304 and AISI 316 options.
Screw-hole configurations include 2, 3 and 4-hole variants. The correct fastening depends on mounting orientation, post profile, plate size, number of screw holes and the required surface finish.
Strofix designs and supplies stainless-steel fastening systems for architectural glass, including glass adaptors, railing components, handrails, and structural fixings. We also serve architects, installers, and building contractors on residential and commercial projects.
