The Strofix rope holder is an AISI 304 stainless-steel wire rope fitting designed for Ø42.4 mm railing post tubes. The holder accepts wire ropes up to a maximum diameter of Ø6 mm and has a 19 mm body diameter (D) and 130 mm overall length (L). Supplied in satin finish with screwing elements included.

The rope holder mounts directly onto the Ø42.4 mm post tube and provides a guide point through which the wire rope passes. The 130 mm length and 19 mm body create a substantial fitting that integrates with the standard Strofix Ø42.4 mm post tube system. The maximum rope diameter of Ø6 mm covers the full Strofix wire rope range (Ø4, Ø5, and Ø6 mm). One rope holder is required at each intermediate post along the wire rope run, while railing terminals are used at the end posts to secure and tension the rope. AISI 304 stainless steel is suitable for standard interior and exterior railing installations.

A wire rope system is a stainless-steel cable infill for balustrades, where horizontal tensioned ropes run between railing posts to form a lightweight, open barrier. The thin cables maintain visibility and airflow while providing fall protection on balconies, terraces, decks and staircases.

Strofix supplies all components for wire rope balustrades: a Ø4 mm stainless-steel rope in AISI 316 (available in 25 m and 50 m lengths), rope holders that clamp the cable to the post, rope crossbar holders, rope bar holders, and railing terminals that anchor the cable end at the first and last post.
