Railing post tube 40x40x2mm with holes, Satin

The Strofix railing post tube 40 × 40 × 2 mm with holes is the cut-to-length, pre-drilled AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless-steel tube used in Strofix finished railing posts. It comes in two lengths – 980 mm for posts on a flat surface and 880 mm for stair posts – with the holes for crossbar holders (4 × Ø6 mm per side) or glass clamps and glass adaptors (2 × Ø8 mm per side) already drilled. Satin finish.

Choose the variant by what the post holds and where it stands: one side for end and intermediate crossbar posts, two adjacent sides for corner posts and two opposite sides for intermediate glass posts that carry panels on both sides. Each variant has its own 3D view and dimensioned drawing in the gallery, with hole heights measured from the bottom of the tube.

FAQ

Why are there two lengths?

980 mm is the tube for posts on a flat surface and 880 mm for stair posts. The end cap, handrail rod and handrail plate sit on top of the tube, so the finished post is taller than the tube.

How are the hole heights measured?

From the bottom end of the tube – the end that stands on the base plate. The heights for every variant are in the table above and on its drawing in the gallery.

Which hole sizes are drilled?

Ø6 mm for crossbar holders and Ø8 mm for glass clamps and glass adaptors.

Is the base plate included?

No. This is the tube on its own – the base plate, cover, end cap and fittings are sold separately. A complete post with all parts is available among the finished railing posts.

Can I order other lengths or hole positions?

AISI 304 or AISI 316?

AISI 304 suits standard indoor and outdoor railings. Choose AISI 316 for coastal, pool and high-humidity installations.
