The Strofix handrail fitting 42.4 × 2 mm, horizontal is a low-profile handrail support for a Ø42.4 mm round tube post (2 mm wall). It has no stem: its top is a curved saddle, so a Ø42.4 mm round handrail runs horizontally directly on top of the post. Manufactured from AISI 304 stainless steel with a satin finish. This is a fixed (non-adjustable) fitting.
The fitting is bonded (glued) into the top of the post. The Ø8.5 mm hole in the saddle takes the screw that fixes the handrail.
Use cases:
- Carrying a Ø42.4 mm round handrail directly on top of round tube posts
- Horizontal handrail runs with the lowest handrail height above the post
- Balconies, terraces and landings with round tube posts

How does it differ from the other handrail supports?
It has no stem and no separate support plate – the handrail lies directly in the saddle on the post top. Supports with a stem hold the handrail higher above the post.
