The Strofix glass clamp 40×50 mm flat is a stainless-steel glass panel holder designed for mounting on flat surfaces such as walls, square posts, and flat-sided structural members. The clamp measures 50 × 40 × 26 mm (L × H × depth) and holds glass panels from 6 to 10.76 mm thick. The distance between the mounting surface and the glass panel is 20 mm. Available in AISI 304 or AISI 316 with a satin finish. Attached by screwing (elements for screwing included).
The glass clamp grips the glass panel between two internal rubber gaskets, which are selected at order time to match the specific glass thickness. The "flat" designation means the clamp's back face is flat for mounting on planar surfaces — this is distinct from clamps designed for curved tube-mounted installations. Glass thickness options cover single tempered glass (6, 8, 10 mm) and laminated safety glass (8.76, 10.76 mm). A "without rubbers" option is available for ordering the clamp body only. AISI 304 is suitable for standard installations; AISI 316 contains molybdenum for higher chloride resistance in coastal or high-humidity environments.
Select the glass thickness and steel grade in the dropdowns at order time.
The clamp accepts glass from 6 to 10.76 mm: single tempered glass (6, 8, 10 mm) and laminated safety glass (8.76, 10.76 mm). Select the matching rubber gasket in the glass thickness dropdown at order time. A "without rubbers" option is available for ordering the clamp body separately.
"Flat" refers to the mounting surface profile. The back face of the clamp is flat, designed for mounting on planar surfaces such as walls, square posts, and flat-sided structural members. For mounting on round tube posts (Ø42.4 or Ø48.3 mm), use the tube-profile glass clamps available in the Strofix range.
The clamp is 50 × 40 × 26 mm (L × H × depth). The distance between the flat mounting surface and the glass panel is 20 mm.
AISI 304 and AISI 316. Choose AISI 316 for coastal, pool, or high-humidity installations.
The clamp is attached to the mounting surface by screwing. Fastening hardware is included.
The number of clamps depends on the glass panel size and the structural requirements. Typical installations use 2–4 clamps per glass panel, spaced evenly along the panel edge.
A glass clamp for a flat surface is a stainless-steel bracket that grips a glass panel along its edge without requiring a drilled hole, fixing the panel to a wall, post or flat-sided structure by clamping pressure alone. Two halves tighten around the glass with rubber inserts that cushion the contact and accommodate different panel thicknesses.
Strofix supplies flat-mount glass clamps in ten body variants — from a compact 30×30 mm mini clamp to larger bodies with lengths up to 67 mm, heights up to 45 mm and glass-edge overhangs up to 18 mm — in AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel with satin or polished finishes. Rubber inserts are available for 4, 6 and 8 mm glass, or the clamps can be ordered without rubbers for custom applications.
The correct clamp depends on body size, glass thickness, steel grade and the required finish.
