The Strofix glass clamp 52×52 mm flat with support is a stainless-steel glass panel holder designed for mounting on flat surfaces such as walls, square posts, and flat-sided structural members. The clamp measures 52 × 52 × 32 mm (L × H × depth) and holds glass panels from 8 to 12.76 mm thick. The distance between the mounting surface and the glass panel is 20 mm. Available in AISI 304 or AISI 316 with a satin finish. Includes support. Attached by screwing (elements for screwing included).

The 52 × 52 mm is the largest square flat-mount glass clamp in the Strofix range. The deeper 32 mm body and the 8–12.76 mm glass range make this a heavy-duty clamp designed specifically for thicker glass panels — it does not accommodate glass below 8 mm. The glass thickness options include 8, 10, and 12 mm single tempered glass and 8.76, 10.76, and 12.76 mm laminated safety glass (12.76 mm = 66.2 designation). The included support provides a security plate underneath the glass for secondary retention. AISI 304 is suitable for standard installations; AISI 316 provides higher chloride resistance for coastal or exposed environments.

What glass thicknesses are supported?

The clamp accepts glass from 8 to 12.76 mm: single tempered glass (8, 10, 12 mm) and laminated safety glass (8.76, 10.76, 12.76 mm). Note that 6 mm glass is not supported — for 6 mm glass, use the 45 × 45 or 45 × 63 mm clamps. A "without rubbers" option is available for ordering the clamp body only.

How does this compare to the 45×45 and 45×63 flat clamps?

The 45 × 45 handles 6–10.76 mm glass in a compact body (26–27 mm depth). The 45 × 63 extends to 12.76 mm in a wider rectangular body (28–30 mm depth). This 52 × 52 also handles 8–12.76 mm but in a larger square body (32 mm depth) and excludes 6 mm glass. Choose the 52 × 52 when the larger square clamp body is preferred aesthetically or when the deeper 32 mm body is needed for the installation configuration.

About Glass Clamps for Flat Surfaces

A glass clamp for a flat surface is a stainless-steel bracket that grips a glass panel along its edge without requiring a drilled hole, fixing the panel to a wall, post or flat-sided structure by clamping pressure alone. Two halves tighten around the glass with rubber inserts that cushion the contact and accommodate different panel thicknesses.
