The Strofix glass holder (4–30 mm) with rod (16 × 320 mm) is an AISI 304 stainless-steel French balcony fitting used to secure 6.00–13.52 mm glass panels to a building structure through a Ø16 mm anchor rod with 320 mm embedment depth. Available with three fixed spacer heights (4, 20, or 30 mm), a Ø30 mm holder body, M8 thread, and satin finish.
The Ø30 mm holder body provides a compact, low-profile glass fixing point. The Ø16 × 320 mm steel anchor rod is embedded into the wall or floor slab for structural anchorage, and the M8 fastener secures the glass panel inside the holder. The spacer height determines the offset between the building façade and the glass panel — select 4 mm for a near-flush installation directly against the wall surface, 20 mm for standard wall buildups with render or thin insulation, or 30 mm where additional clearance is needed for thicker exterior insulation or cladding layers. The spacer is not adjustable after installation; choose the correct variant at order time. The 6.00–13.52 mm glass thickness range covers standard toughened glass and common laminated glass buildups.
The satin finish reduces visible fingerprints and micro-scratches compared to polished stainless steel, maintaining a clean appearance on exposed French balcony fittings.
The glass holder accepts glass panels from 6.00 to 13.52 mm thick. This range covers standard single-pane toughened glass and common laminated glass buildups. Any panel within the 6.00–13.52 mm range is compatible.
This SKU offers three spacer height options: 4, 20, and 30 mm. The spacer sets the distance between the mounting surface and the glass panel. Choose 4 mm for a near-flush installation directly against the wall, 20 mm for standard wall buildups with render or thin insulation, and 30 mm where additional clearance is needed for thicker exterior insulation or cladding layers. The spacer height is fixed after installation and must be selected at order time.
The anchor rod is Ø16 mm in diameter and 320 mm long. The rod is embedded into the wall or floor structure to provide structural anchorage for the glass holder.
The glass holder body has a Ø30 mm circular face — a compact profile compared to the larger Ø50 mm holders in the Strofix French balcony range. This makes it less visually prominent on the finished installation.
This glass holder is manufactured from AISI 304 stainless steel with a satin finish. AISI 304 is suitable for standard interior and exterior installations. For coastal, pool, or high-humidity environments where higher chloride resistance is required, check whether an AISI 316 variant is available in the Strofix French balcony range.
Installation requires drilling into the wall or floor slab to accommodate the Ø16 × 320 mm anchor rod, which typically involves concrete, brick, or solid masonry. Correct embedment depth and alignment are critical for structural safety. Professional installation is recommended for French balcony glass barriers.
A French balcony is a glass barrier fixed directly to the building façade at a full-height window or door opening, providing fall protection without a projecting balcony slab. The glass panel is held in place by stainless-steel glass holders with integrated rods that anchor into the wall, creating a flush, minimal-hardware guardrail that preserves the open view and natural light.
Strofix supplies French balcony components in two rod sizes — Ø16 × 320 mm and Ø20 × 320 mm — in AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel, with glass holders covering spacer heights from 4 to 30 mm and glass thicknesses from 6 to 12 mm.Individual glass holders and a complete component set (with left, right and bracket pieces) are available.
The correct configuration depends on glass thickness, required spacer height, rod diameter and whether the project needs individual parts or a full set.
Strofix designs and supplies stainless-steel fastening systems for architectural glass, including glass adaptors, railing components, handrails, and structural fixings. We also serve architects, installers, and building contractors on residential and commercial projects.
