The Strofix weld-on end cap is an AISI 304 stainless-steel plate that closes Ø42.4x2 mm railing tube. Supplied with a raw (unfinished) surface.
The cap is welded to the tube end rather than pressed in, giving a permanent seal that cannot be knocked out or removed. TIG or MIG welding is required; the weld and surrounding surface are ground and finished on site after fitting.
The raw surface is standard for welded caps because the finish is applied after welding. AISI 304 stainless steel is suitable for standard interior and exterior installations.

Is a version with a hole available?
Yes. Strofix supplies weld-on caps with a Ø8 mm or Ø12 mm hole where a cable, rod or drainage path has to pass through the closed end.
How is it fitted?
It is welded to the tube end. TIG or MIG welding is required – this is a professional step, usually carried out in a workshop.
Why is the surface raw?
The cap is ground and finished after welding, so it is supplied unfinished. A press-fit cap in satin or polished finish is available where welding is not wanted.

About End Caps
An end cap is a stainless-steel closure piece that plugs into or fits over the open end of a railing tube, post or solid bar, sealing it against moisture ingress and giving the termination a clean, finished appearance. Without an end cap, the cut tube end is exposed – visually unfinished and prone to collecting water and debris inside the hollow section.
