The Strofix front handle for 12mm, Flat, Satin is an AISI 304 stainless-steel crossbar holder that carries a horizontal Ø12 mm crossbar (infill rod) on the front face of a flat mounting surface. It mounts on a flat surface and holds the rod at the front of the fitting, forming the connection between the infill rod and the structure. Satin finish.

This front-handle version presents the crossbar on the front face of the holder, rather than passing the rod through the body as a through-hole holder does. It suits positions where the rod is carried on the face of a post or flat surface. It fixes to any flat surface — a post face, stringer, or wall. An adjustable front-handle version is also available for runs where the crossbar angle needs to be set, and the range also includes through-hole crossbar holders, blind-hole bar holders, connecting holders, a vertical holder, and a glass-mount holder.

Use cases:

  • Carrying a Ø12 mm infill rod on the front face of a flat surface
  • Front-mounted crossbar support on a post face or flat surface
  • Rod infill fixed to the face of a post rather than passing through it
  • Flat-mount front-handle rod support in a rod-infill balustrade
  • Stainless-steel front-handle crossbar holder for railing infill rod

About Crossbar Holders

A crossbar holder is a stainless-steel fitting that secures a horizontal rod or bar to a railing post, glass panel or flat surface, forming the connection between the infill rod and the structure it passes through. At intermediate posts the rod runs through the holder; at end posts it terminates in a blind hole (left or right hand); and on glass panels a dedicated glass-mount holder clamps the rod to the panel face.

Strofix supplies 12 crossbar holder products in several configurations: through-hole holders for Ø42.4 mm round pipe and flat-sided posts, left and right blind-hole bar holders for Ø42.4 mm and flat posts, connecting holders for intermediate positions, a vertical holder, and a glass-mount holder — in AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel with satin or polished finishes, with holder heights of 20, 22 and 23 mm for Ø10 and Ø12 mm rod diameters.

The correct holder depends on post profile, rod diameter, position in the railing run and whether the rod terminates or passes through.
