Crossbar holder - Flat

The Strofix crossbar holder (flat) is an AISI 304 stainless-steel railing component designed for flat mounting surfaces such as rectangular posts, plates, or wall-mounted brackets, with four selectable crossbar diameters: Ø10, Ø12, Ø14, or Ø16 mm. Available in satin or polished finish (polish for Ø12 mm only), with screwing elements included.

The crossbar diameter is selected directly in the dropdown at order time. The Ø10, Ø12, and Ø14 mm variants share a 22 mm body diameter (D) and 20 mm height (H). The Ø16 mm variant has a larger 25 mm body diameter and 22 mm height to accommodate the wider crossbar. The flat base sits flush against rectangular or square post profiles, plates, or wall brackets. All variants mount via a Ø6.5 mm screw hole. AISI 304 stainless steel is suitable for standard interior and exterior railing installations.

The satin finish reduces visible fingerprints and micro-scratches. The polished finish (Ø12 mm variant only) provides a mirror-like appearance for installations requiring a high-gloss look.

Which crossbar diameters are available?

What are the body dimensions for each variant?

The Ø10, Ø12, and Ø14 mm variants have a 22 mm body diameter (D) and 20 mm height (H). The Ø16 mm variant has a 25 mm body diameter and 22 mm height. The body dimensions scale with the crossbar size.

How does this differ from the Ø42.4 crossbar holder?

The flat version has a flat base for mounting on rectangular posts, plates, or wall brackets. The Ø42.4 version has a curved base shaped to sit against a Ø42.4 mm round post tube. Choose the variant that matches your post profile. Both versions offer the same four crossbar diameters and finish options.

Which finish options are available?

Satin finish is available for all four crossbar diameters (Ø10, Ø12, Ø14, Ø16). Polished finish is available for Ø12 mm only. Select the desired finish in the dropdown at order time.

Are screwing elements included?

Yes. Screwing elements are included with the holder. The mounting screw passes through a Ø6.5 mm hole to secure the holder to the flat surface.

What steel grade is used?

The holder is manufactured from AISI 304 stainless steel. AISI 304 is suitable for standard interior and exterior installations. An AISI 316 flat-mount crossbar holder is not currently listed in the Strofix range — for coastal or high-humidity environments, contact Strofix directly to confirm availability.

About Crossbar Holders

A crossbar holder is a stainless-steel fitting that secures a horizontal rod or bar to a railing post, glass panel or flat surface, forming the connection between the infill rod and the structure it passes through. At intermediate posts the rod runs through the holder; at end posts it terminates in a blind hole (left or right hand); and on glass panels a dedicated glass-mount holder clamps the rod to the panel face.

Strofix supplies 12 crossbar holder products in several configurations: through-hole holders for Ø42.4 mm round pipe and flat-sided posts, left and right blind-hole bar holders for Ø42.4 mm and flat posts, connecting holders for intermediate positions, a vertical holder, and a glass-mount holder — in AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel with satin or polished finishes, with holder heights of 20, 22 and 23 mm for Ø10 and Ø12 mm rod diameters.
