The Strofix cover (Ø42.4 – AISI 316) is an AISI 316 stainless-steel decorative base plate designed to conceal floor-mounting hardware at the base of Ø42.4 mm round railing pipes. The round cover plate has a Ø105 mm diameter, 18 mm height, and 1 mm wall thickness. Supplied in satin finish. AISI 316 contains molybdenum, providing higher resistance to chlorides and salt air than AISI 304.
The cover slides over the Ø42.4 mm pipe and sits flat on the floor surface, hiding the anchors, bolts, and rough floor penetration beneath. The Ø105 mm plate provides generous coverage to conceal the base mounting hardware. This SKU is a single fixed configuration — there are no selectable finish, plate size, or grade options. AISI 316 stainless steel is specified for coastal, pool, and high-humidity installations where AISI 304 may develop surface corrosion over time.
The satin finish provides a uniform appearance that matches other Strofix satin-finished railing components.

The cover plate has a Ø105 mm diameter (D) with an 18 mm height (H) and 1 mm wall thickness (t). These are all fixed for this SKU.
Why choose AISI 316 over AISI 304?
AISI 316 contains molybdenum, which provides higher resistance to chlorides and salt air. Specify AISI 316 for coastal, pool, and high-humidity installations where AISI 304 may develop surface corrosion over time. For standard inland interior and exterior applications, the AISI 304 cover variants are sufficient and more cost-effective.
Is a polished finish available?

Are other plate sizes available in AISI 316?

Is the cover purely decorative?
Yes. The cover is a cosmetic finishing component that conceals the mounting hardware at the post base. It does not provide structural support.

A cover is a stainless-steel decorative plate that fits around the base of a railing post where it meets the floor, deck or fascia, concealing the anchor bolt, base plate and raw fixing beneath a clean, finished disc or square.
It slides over the post tube before or after installation and sits flat against the mounting surface, giving the post base a professional appearance.
