Glass clamp 45x63mm, Polished, 42.4

The Strofix glass clamp 45×63 mm polished for Ø42.4 tube is a stainless-steel glass panel holder designed for mounting on Ø42.4 mm round railing post tubes. The clamp measures 63 × 45 mm (L × H) and holds glass panels from 6 to 12.76 mm thick. The distance between the mounting surface and the glass panel is 20 mm. Manufactured from AISI 304 with a mirror-polished finish. Without support. Attached by screwing.

The polished finish provides a high-gloss, mirror-like appearance for premium thick-glass installations on round tube posts. The wider 63 mm body accommodates glass panels up to 12.76 mm – including 12 mm single tempered and 12.76 mm laminated safety glass (66.2 designation) – that the standard 45 × 45 mm tube clamps cannot handle. This is the polished counterpart to the satin version, sharing the same glass range and mounting type but with a mirror finish and AISI 304 only. The curved back face wraps around the Ø42.4 mm tube surface.

Select the glass thickness in the dropdown at order time.

• High-end glass railing designs combining wide-body clamp, thick glass, and polished finish
• Polished rectangular tube-mount clamp for contemporary railing systems on round posts
• Step-up from the 45 × 45 polished tube clamp when thicker glass is required

FAQ

How does this differ from the satin 45×63 tube clamp?

Both share the same 63 × 45 mm body, 6–12.76 mm glass range, Ø42.4 tube mounting and 20 mm standoff. The differences are surface finish (polished vs satin) and grade (AISI 304 only vs 304/316 on satin). Choose polished for mirror aesthetics; choose satin for a brushed look or AISI 316 availability.

What glass thicknesses are supported?

The clamp accepts glass from 6 to 12.76 mm: single tempered glass (6, 8, 10, 12 mm) and laminated safety glass (8.76, 10.76, 12.76 mm / 44.2, 55.2, 66.2).

Is AISI 316 available?

No. This polished version is AISI 304 only. For AISI 316, use the satin version (SKU ST-445630-4S).

What tube does this clamp mount on?

The clamp mounts on the Ø42.4 mm round railing post tube with a curved back face.

Does this include support?

No. This clamp is supplied without support (security plate).

How does this compare to the flat-mount 45×63 polished?

Both handle 6–12.76 mm glass in polished AISI 304. The flat version mounts on walls and square posts; this version has a curved back for Ø42.4 round tubes.

About Glass Clamps for Pipe

A glass clamp for pipe is a stainless-steel bracket with a curved back profiled to sit flush against a round post, gripping a glass panel along its edge without requiring a drilled hole. The curved saddle wraps around the tube circumference, and the front half clamps the glass with rubber inserts that cushion the contact and accommodate the panel thickness.

Strofix supplies pipe-mount glass clamps in seven body sizes – from the compact 30 × 30 mm mini clamp through 40 × 50, 45 × 45 and 45 × 63 mm to the larger 52 × 52, 55 × 55 and 55 × 65 mm bodies – all profiled for Ø42.4 mm round tube, in AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel with satin or polished finishes.

Clamps marked "With support" have a security plate and safety pin under the glass edge; the others hold the glass by clamping pressure alone. The correct clamp depends on glass thickness, body size, steel grade and whether a support is needed.
